Bill Nye continues his mission of encouraging viewers to look at the world in a more specific way. He tackles big themes and goes beyond the basics, talking with experts on the leading edge of discovery and answers questions about nuclear power, global warming, cloning, evolution, energy, transportation, population growth, addiction and more. The world is Nye’s laboratory as he takes science out of the classroom with an adventurous style and unparalleled zaniness.

Asking the right questions – never content with the usual answers, Ernie Manouse sits down with a single newsmaker or celebrity for an engaging and insightful one-on-one conversation. Disarming his guests with a warm, casual approach, Manouse presents an interesting, often intimate and sometimes revealing encounter with some of today’s most captivating notables.

Explore the rapid growth of the wine industry in Virginia and its increasing impact on the state’s cultural, social and economic landscape. The vintners of the Monticello wine region in central Virginia serve as the main focus, as the natural drama of a winemaker’s year unfolds. Examine the factors that make Virginia unique among the wine-producing regions of the United States and explores why, 200 years after Thomas Jefferson failed to cultivate grapes at Monticello, the region finally flour-ished as a producer of quality wines.

The Eyes of Nye

Innerviews with Ernie Manouse

Vintage: The Winemaker's Year

Through first person accounts, discover the story of the life and times of the men who worked as Railway Postal Clerks. Considered to many to be the elite of the mail service, an RPC clerk was in constant motion, spending days away from home working the mail into hundreds of pouches and slots at 60-80 mph. They spent time off studying schemes to learn the exact location of thousands of towns, villages and their connecting communities. Clerks were held at the highest level of accountability and took great pride in their work.

Renowned Dickens scholar and author Dr. Elliot Engel crafts this entertaining study that complements every holiday schedule. Filmed in the spirit of the classic BBC-style presentation, actor David zum Brunnen portrays Charles Dickens – and seventeen other familiar characters – from the ghostly classic, A Christmas Carol.

Night Before Christmas Carol

The cartoon fairy ballerina Prima Princess takes a group of pre-school children on a magical Christmas journey to see a live performance of “The Nutcracker” performed by England’s world famous Birmingham Royal Ballet. Prima Princess delightfully narrates the story so the children can understand the plot. The kids also get a chance to get up and dance, learning simple ballet steps from students at SAB, the official academy of the New York City Ballet.

John Newland is your “guide to the supernatural” in this 1959-1961 classic series in which tales explore paranormal events and various situations that defied logical explanation. Presented in the form of straight-forward docu-dramas – all said to be based on true events.

The popular series returns to KCSM television. Theater columnist Jesse Green of New York Magazine, Michael Musto (pictured) of the Village Voice and Patrick Pacheco of the L.A. Times discuss the upcoming Broadway season with their insightful and sitty banter that has made their group appearances some of our most popular episodes. Among the shows they discuss are Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, Spider-man, Turn off the Dark, Driving Miss Daisy and Pee-Wee's Playhouse.
