UCPOMING ASSIGNMENTS

• End of day today: Five comments on classmate posts (send me urls)
• End of day Monday Dec. 12: Final paper due• The paper should be somewhere between 1,500 words and 2,500 words and should
include:
• How you’ll relate your personal ethics code to the circumstances at hand
• A discussion of two or more ethical principles in tension, for example, truth-telling vs. minimizing harm or protecting a source vs. transparency with audiences, etc.
• A discussion of the various stakeholders in the case
• A discussion of an ethical decision-making process that would be useful in the case you’re examining
• A discussion of your case in the context of two or more classic theories of ethics, for example, deontology or utilitarianism or Golden Rule, etc
• On-the-record interviews with at least one or two people who have something to contribute to your topic (unless you make the case to me in advance that your paper works well without interviews)
