FROM HOD’S DESK-

The spirit of improvement is not always a spirit of liberty;

For it may aim at forcing improvement on an unwilling people.

Mechanical Engineering is the largest of the

engineering disciplines and a large number of

mechanical engineers go into manufacturing of

computer and electronic products, machinery and

transportation equipments.

The department cares for student support,

mentoring, tutoring, study skills workshops and

career development. Mechanical Engineering

students culminate their studies with a year-long

capstone project requiring design problem

solving, creative thinking, project planning and

teamwork. A broad selection of technical electives

encourages students to pursue special interests

in design and manufacturing, energy and

environmental issues, thermal and fluid sciences

materials, dynamics & controls and robotics.

Programs Organized:

Intercollegiate Cad Competition

Intercollegiate Cad Competition was arranged on the

eve of foundation day of SCOE. Department got

tremendous response for the event where students

participated from the college of Navi Mumbai. The

event was coordinated by Prof. Saiprasad Shelke &

Prof. Ajay Deshmukh. The winner of competition

was Student of our college Mr.Chaitnya Waghode

(SE Mech). Event was sponsored by CADD Centre

vashi.

Industrial Visit :

Industrial Visits are important in any academic

curriculum as they deliver information about

application of knowledge that they are gaining

during the period of 4 years of Engineering. It

inspires students to work more hard and make them

aware of challenges that stand in Industrial

environment.

S.E. students went to Goa and visited

“Western India Shipyard Ltd” to gain the

practical knowledge of how the ship gets

repaired over the Sea Platform.

ME Student along with the entire senior

Faculty went to visit “Topwarth Group

Ltd.”

This visit is especially for experiencing the

modern trends in Manufacturing Industry.

It was wonderful experience to visit the plant

in running condition as well as experience

one of the modern Automated

Manufacturing technologies.
