January 2019 Dear GCSS Membership, Change is inevitable, Growth is optional. With every passing year, the GCSS strives to be at the forefront of change by supporting the growth of the Gonstead system. Membership is the key to that goal. By becoming a member, or referring a colleague, we increase the growth potential exponentially. EACH ONE, BRING ONE. As a general member, we thank you for your dedication as a Gonstead practitioner and ask that you accept the challenge to increase our growth allowing us to set the standard of change. Our current GCSS efforts include:
GCSS Research— numerous current research projects both by our Research Department and our dedicated field doctors— we are making history!
GCSS Student Certification Program ‐ to further educate chiropractic students on the teachings and benefits of the Gonstead technique.

We want to offer our students, our families, and our patients access to a progressive group of doctors who practice focused, specific chiropractic care. Every year by attending the “Gonstead Extravaganza” seminar in April at the Gonstead Clinic in Mt. Horeb, WI, we get the chance to pass along our system to the next generation. Everyone is invited to attend! Nothing rejuvenates the soul like the excitement that comes from sharing this work with our future doctors. The GCSS also hosts “Gonstead Meeting of the Minds” which takes place each October. If you have twenty years in practice, are a GCSS Diplomate, Fellow, or Diplomate candidate, you are cordially invited to attend our premiere event. Membership, Fellow & Diplomate Qualifications and Requirements
• Student Membership Qualifications - $15.00 Annual Membership Fee Student Membership is open to all persons currently registered in a Chiropractic College, who have or have not attended a Gonstead Seminar of Chiropractic. A student shall have no voting privileges and is not eligible for Diplomate Certification.
• General Membership Qualifications - $150.00 Annual Membership Fee
General Membership is open to any Doctor of Chiropractic who has attended at least one (1) Gonstead Seminar of Chiropractic. First year doctors who submit a copy of their graduation diploma have a membership fee of $50.00. Second year doctors with a copy of their diploma have a membership fee of $75.00. Doctors with 3 or more years in practice have an annual membership fee of $150.00. General members shall have voting privileges.
• Retired Membership Qualifications - $50.00 Annual Membership Fee Retired Membership is open to chiropractors that are retired or no longer practicing. Retired members shall not have voting privileges.
• Lay Membership Qualifications - $50.00 Annual Membership Lay Membership is open to all persons not attending a chiropractic college or not licensed as a doctor of chiropractic. Lay members shall not have voting privileges, but receive a copy of quarterly publications.
• Diplomate Certification Requirements - $150.00 Application Fee Open to those persons meeting the stipulations of General Membership and the qualifications set forth, and approved by the Board of Directors. A minimum of 238 class hours of approved Gonstead Seminars is required. These may consist of GCSS, Gonstead Seminars, Inc., Gonstead Advanced Technique, GMI, and Gonstead Seminars for C.E. Credit or other GCSS approved seminars.
Applicants must have at least three years of full time post-graduate Gonstead experience as a licensed chiropractor, submit an application and $150.00 application fee, completed resume, and submit twenty-five (25) multiple-choice sample test questions with answers and references on the Gonstead Technique. Three (3) letters of recommendation from either GCSS Fellows or Diplomates who hold active General Membership in GCSS are also required.
Applicants will take a written and practical exam. Applicants must bring to the test, two sets of marked full spine (AP & Lateral) 14 x 36 x-rays taken by the applicant, and a set of full spine x-rays of the applicant.

• College of Fellows Qualifications - $200.00 Application Fee
Open to Diplomates with not less than 595 approved hours in the study of Gonstead Chiropractic and elected to the College of Fellows by the College of Fellows and approved by the Board of Directors. Applicant must hold current membership in the G.C.S.S. for a minimum of three 3 years as a Diplomate. Other requirements include: previously attended thirty-five 35 Gonstead Technique Seminars (2 of these seminars must have been within the previous year), 10 years of full time postgraduate experience as a licensed Chiropractor practicing the Gonstead Technique, submit an application with a current and complete resume and recommended by 3 Fellows.
