Engineering Research and Development for Technology (ERDT) About ERDT The Engineering Research and Development for Technology (ERDT) is a consortium of eight member universities in the country that offers masters and doctoral degrees in various engineering fields. This consortium is composed of: Goals ERDT was created to: 1. Implement high impact research agenda that are aligned with the National Science and Technology Plan (NSTP) and Medium Term Philippine Development Plan (MTPDP) 2. Attain a critical mass of graduates with Master's and PhD degrees 3. Upgrade the qualifications of practicing engineers 4. Upgrade the quality of engineering colleges and make engineering graduate education accessible 5. Develop a culture of research and development (R&D) Qualifications The applicant must: 1. be a Filipino citizen 2. NOT be more than 45 years old at the time of application 3. have passed the admission requirements of the graduate program supported by ERDT 4. have a BS/MS degree in engineering or related field 5. be in good health 6. NOT have criminal/administrative case (NBI certification is required) Requirements Curriculum Vitae Birth Certificate (Photocopy) Certified True Copy of Grades/Transcript of Records Recommendation letter from 3 past professors or supervisors Narrative essays (Career plans) 1. A narrative, not more than 1000 words, describing your current work or project (or research) that you worked on and your contribution towards the completion of the project. 2. Future Plans (After Graduation) 3. The successful awardee must:1. execute a Scholarship Agreement with DOST2. officially enrol as full-time graduate student in any of the DOST priority fields/consortium member—university3. submit periodic report of registration form and report of grades each semester/term which shall be evaluated to

determine his/her scholarship status4. NOT avail or enjoy other scholarships5. have a full-time commitment to the scholarship and must NOT engage in any form of employment during the

period while enjoying the scholarship6. be willing to render the required service obligation equiva- lent to the length of time that he/she enjoyed the

scholar- ship—one year of service for every year of scholarship or a fraction thereof.
