Examination…
Is coming soon By Mika, 2C
May has already passed.
Have all of you of the first grade become
accustomed to high school life?
Well, the mid-term examination starts on June
13. It might be the first examination in Hukuoka
high school for the first grader. There is the Iwate
inter-high sports meet and the Class Match, too, to
prepare at the current time. I think that any student
is busy with various things. There might be a lot of
people of the third grade who are starting to study
for exams, too.
Let’s work hard so that we can get a good grade
in the examinations.

On May 20th, the opening ceremony of the Iwate inter-high school sports
championships was held in Morioka. The high school students gathered
there from around Iwate prefecture. The first year high school students took
part in the opening ceremony. The championship tournaments will start at
last!
This tournament may be the last one to the third year students. Let’s do
our best so that we won’t regret it later. And students in the first and second
year, let’s support the third year students to do their best and learn from
them.
Good luck to you!!
Hiraizumi ~to World Heritage
By Kaede Masuda, 2D
May 7th, ICOMOS (International Council on Monuments and Sites) advised on the registration of
Hiraizumi as a world heritage, but it was with a condition.
In 2008, the cultural heritage of Hiraizumi received the decision from ICOMOS to postpone
registration.
The condition given last month was to exclude “Yamaginogosyo-iseki” because it was not related to
Pure Land (Jodo) Buddhism ideology.
The acceptance or rejection of the official registration is fixed for June when UNESCO World
Heritage Committee will be held in Paris, France.
We wish Hiraizumi to win registration as a World Cultural Heritage!
Movie
Information By Aki Maita, 2B
God’s Clinical Record has won great prizes from
book stores in 2010. This historic work will be
made into a movie which will start August 27th
. The
scene of this movie is Shinshu. Shinshu is enclosed
by beautiful nature. The movie warmly describes
real local medical care.
The protagonist is Kurihara Ichito (played by
Shou Sakurai). He loves his wife very much, and
likes literary work written by Souseki Natume.
Ichito “saves hearts,” playing the part of physician.
Ichito’s wife is Kurihara Haruna (played by Aoi
Miyazaki). She has pretty charm. Haruna “heals
hearts,” playing the part of photographer. Ichito is
sustained by Haruna.
This movie is about physician’s way of life and
shows human drama from “life” to “death.”
Don’t Miss It! (2) By Mr. Oldman, 2D
May 20th was a very nice day!
Do you like the movie, The Pirates of the
Caribbean? It’s 4th movie has been released on
May 20th!
Many girls love Johnny Depp, who plays Jack
Sparrow in this movie. His acting is so
wonderful. In order to play Jack Sparrow, he
shaved his teeth and then attached gold teeth to
surface of his teeth! To remove gold teeth is so
hard. His actor’s soul is hot.
Now, you can get t-shirt of this movie at
UNIQLO. If you buy this shirt, you can get post
cards of this movie, too! These are so cool. I have
already got it!!
This movie is sooooooo
interesting! Please go to
the theater!
