Polyimide Masks

Product Description:PT Polyimide Discs are a high temperature film with silicone adhesive that is used for thermal and electrical insulation. The silicone adhesive has excellent release properties. Discs are provided on a liner and supplied on a core or REEL-eTM for auto apply applications.

Available Materials:• PT100 - 1.0 mil polyimide film with 1.5 mil high temperature removable silicone adhesive supplied on a 3.0 mil clear polyester liner

• PT205HD - 5.0 mil polyimide film with 1.5 mil high temperature removable silicone adhesive supplied on a 2.0 mil clear polyester liner. • PT625FR - 2.0 mil polyimide flame retardent film with 1.0 mil high temperature removable silicone adhesive supplied on a 3.0 mil SCK liner.

Recommended for:Masking circuit boards, wave solder masking, and electrical insulation.

Temperature Range:Maximum Temperature: range of up to 500 oF (260 oC).

Product Description:AT aluminum foil discs are provided in a range of sizes. Discs are provided on a liner, which is wound on a core. These discs are moisture and chemical resistant, thermally conductive, heat and light reflective, flame resistant, outdoor weatherable, and can help dampen vibration.

Available Materials:• 3M439L - 2.0 mil aluminum foil with 1.0 mil permanent bonding acrylic adhesive (Request a technical data sheet for more information). • 3M433L - 2.0 mil high temperature aluminum foil with 1.5 mil high temperature silicone adhesive (Request a technical data sheet for more information).• 3M1170 - 2.0 mil aluminum foil with 1.2 mil electrically conductive acrylic adhesive (Request a technical data sheet for more information).

Recommended for:Permanent sealing, holding, splicing, or masking applications requiring the protectionof aluminum foil. 3M1170 has the added benefit of providing excellent electricalconductivity from the application substrate, common uses include grounding and EMIshielding in equipment, components, and shielded rooms.

Polyester Masking

Product Description:Polyester masking discs are manufactured from a polyester film tape used to mask off areas that do not require coating. Polyester masking discs have a silicone adhesive with excellent release properties that will not leave any adhesive residue. Discs are provided on a liner, which is wound on a core.

Available Materials:• 3M8992L - 2.0 mil green polyester film with 1.3 mil removable silicone adhesive.

• PT628FR - 2.0 mil flame retardant white polyester with a 1.0 mil high temperature acrylic adhesive.

Recommended for:Masking for powdercoat painting.
