PAIGNTON BIKE FESTIVAL & BIKE NIGHTS - 2010

FESTIVAL

In the past a few riders have raised an eyebrow regarding the cost of entry, which is a £4 donation per bike, this allows you to park up on Esplanade Road in the middle of the event. It must be remembered that every penny donated by bikers goes to charity, none of it is used to run the event, so just feel good about yourselves and the fact that you are giving to charity, which includes the Air Ambulance that is used for so many serious bike incidents. We hope to see you at this years Festival, if the last few years is anything to go by then you should enjoy it.

BIKE NIGHTS

BMAD organise bike nights to raise money for their chosen charity, every week from May to September hundreds of bikers congregate on the sea front to socialise, they pay a £1 donation to attend and this raises lots of money - in 2009 they raised £34,599.39

FISHING

This event was thoroughly enjoyed by around 20 members of dcbikers and we couldn’t have asked for better weather, the sea was extremely calm and the sun came out for us which was a relief for those of us who suffer from sea sickness.. Lol, plenty of fish was caught on the day in sight of the Eddystone lighthouse.

Below are some pictures of the ‘crew’ of one of the two boats chartered for the day and also the winner of the biggest ‘landed’ fish of the day Jay-RR, Jay received a trophy for his efforts, hopefully dcbikers will make this a regular event.

KARTING

On the 1st of November 17 members of DCBikers will be staging a friendly competition to win Franks trophy (below) from the clutches of another forum. We are confident we can win the trophy and bring it home.

BUTLINS

For a few years now we have organised a weekend to Minehead for the adult themed weekends and they always prove popular, mostly they are either 60’s / 70’s or 80’s we go to, the last one in October this year was an 80’s theme and everyone got into the spirit of the occasion and dressed up.

Next year we will be going up again and so far 17 have expressed an interest to go, 3 caravans have been booked so watch out Butlins … here we come!!!!!
