The District of Columbia Wate r and Sewer Authority (DC Water} will hold a public " open h ouse · meeting to share project information and to rece i ve comments from the public on the Environmental Assess ment (EA) fo r the First Street Tunnel project . The First Street Tunnel project i s a component of the Anacostia River which are the portion o f the DC Clean Rivers to Anacostia River . Th e First Street Tunnel project is also a c omponent of a Mayoral Initiative to mitigate flooding in t he Bloomi ngdale and LeDroit Park neighborhoods in n o rthe a st Washington, DC. DC Water anticipates that const ructi on of the First Street Tunnel would commence during the fall of 2013 . The purpose of the public meeting is to share information on the project alternatives , benefits , and impacts and provide interested parties an opportunity to g i ve oral and written comments on th e EA fo r the First Street Tunnel project. WHEN: April24 , 2013 (6 : 3 0 p . m . - 8:30p.m.) WHERE: St. George ' s Episcopal Church 160 U Street , NW Washington , DC 20001 The meeting will be in an open house format. The District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority (DCWater} will hold a public "open house· meeting to shareproject information and to receive comments from thepublic on the Environmental Assessment (EA) for theFirst Street Tunnel project. The First Street Tunnel projectis a component of the Anacostia River whichare the portion of the DC Clean Riversto
