    Installing the BBU3900

Determine whether to reversely install the mounting ear according to the space

available at the installation site and the installation mode of the equipment in the

    cabinet.

Remove the screws and mounting ears on both sides of the BBU3900.

    Reinstall the mounting ears.

Hold the BBU3900 with your hands

and align the holes for mounting

    ears with the cabinet installation

    holes.

Slide the BBU3900 into the cabinet

slowly along the guide rails.Fix the BBU3900 in the cabinet by

    using four panel screws.

To provide -48 V DC power supply for the site, you need to install the DCDU-03C. TheDCDU-03C converts one -48 V DC power input to multiple 48 V DC power outputs for thebase station. The APM200 needs to be installed only when there is only 220 V AC powersupply at the site. The APM200 converts 220 V AC power input to multiple -48 V DC poweroutputs for the base station. Ensure that the power distribution equipment such as the APM200 and DCDU-03C has an

independent power switch to control the power-on and power-off of each BBU and RRU. When the 2T2R is used, the remaining N-type connectors are protected by waterproof caps.

The PGND cable of the BBU isyellow-green or green. The sectional

area of the PGND cable is 6 mm2

    (10AWG).The PGND cable is

connected to the BBU through a OT

terminal or a two-hole OT terminal

(M4) and to the grounding bar

through an OT terminal. The PGND

Measuring the VSWR of the Antenna System

When the distance between the RRU and the DCDU-03C orAPM200 ranges from 60 m to 180 m, install an outdoor cabletransfer box at the RRU.

The length of the cable which between the outdoor cabletransfer box and the RRU is 3 m to 5 m.

Measure the VSWR of the antenna system using theBroadband Site Master.

Measure the VSWR in the position where the antennasystem is connected to the RF port of the RRU.

Never connect an antenna system with a VSWR of1.5 or higher to the RRU.
