    Michael Jordan Motorsports Daytona Highlights:

Roger Hayden Double Podiums in season opener

The Michael Jordan Motorsports (MJM) team started the 2012 AMA Pro National Guard SuperBike

season by celebrating three podium finishes in Gatorade Victory Lane at the season-opening round at

Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. National Guard Jordan Suzuki rider Roger

Hayden brought home well-earned third- place results in both Fridays and Saturdays 15 -lap races.

In both events, Hayden took advantage of his front -row grid position and got good starts on the National

Guard Jordan Suzuki GSX-R1000. On Friday, he battled for the final podium spot for the first several laps

before settling into third position, and held on until races end. Likewise, Saturdays race saw Hayden

charging hard in fourth position and aggressively scrapping for third and taking the final spot on thepodium.

Teammate Ben Bostrom struggled with his set-up throughout the weekend and never got fully

comfortable with the front-end feel on his motorcycle. He started out strong in both races, getting good

starts on the Jordan Suzuki GSX-R1000 on each day. But while running in the top five on Friday and

Saturday, Bostrom went down and had to remount and pick his way through the field. He finished 13th on

    Friday and 15th on Saturday.

Corey Alexander leaves Daytona leading the Supersport East Championship

National Guard Fairhills Group Celtic Racing Suzuki racer Corey Alexander started the 2012 season with

authority qualifying on pole ahead of 50 other riders. A bad start in race #1 put Corey out of reach withthe lead group of riders in Daytonas notorious draft, but he battled with the remaining racers to finish a

strong 5 th. Corey regrouped for race #2 finishing on the podium in 2 nd place just 2/10 th of a second away

from the win. Corey pocketed valuable Championship points to leave Daytona with the points lead in the

    competitive Supersport East Championship.

Hayden Comments: This was a pretty good start to the season, said Hayden. Coming away with two

podiums was a good start, and were leaving Daytona with some good points. We were able to see where

we stack up against the other guys, and we know what we need to improve on to close the gap to the top

two. Today (Saturday), the race was a li ttle bit tougher for me than yesterday (Friday), but I was glad I

could hang on for the podium, especially for the Jordan team theyve been working their tails off allyear. Two podium finishes was a good start and its something we can build on, as I look forward to

    Atlanta.

    Bostrom Comments:

It was a tough weekend for number 23, said Bostrom. Im not sure I can remember the last time I

crashed out of a race, much less two races. I know the package we have for the upcoming tracks, though,

and that keeps my mood right. The Jordan team has done a great job this winter and I hate to let them

down. It was great to see Roger on the box.

    Alexander Comments:

"I'm really happy with our second place finish today, it's a great improvement over our fifth place finish

yesterday. The whole crew put in a great effort to get us up to the front today after making some changes

this morning. It was a hard fight to get second place and be on the podium, and I'm really happy with the

points we earned. We definitely wanted the win so it's a little bittersweet being so close to the leader but

we will take it. It's great that we could show everyone what the National Guard Fairhills Group Celtic

Racing Suzuki team is all about this weekend!

    Mauhar Technical Comments:

It is great to see all of the hard work put in at the shop and at the racetrack during the off-season pay off.

Although Ben struggled a bit getting the right set-up for the slippery track surface, Roger was dialed in

and recorded a 206mph trap speed at one point during the weekend. That is by far the fastest we haveever gone at Daytona. The countless weeks in the engine room and testing on our Factory Dynamometer

have resulted in significantly more power for our Jordan Suzukis. Additionally, Bazzaz, Inc. has stepped

up their support considerably this year with Ammar Bazzaz himself trackside and deeply involved in

tuning our Superbike electronics. This allows us to focus more team resources on engine development

and refining chassis set-up in the never-ending search for those extra few tenths-of-a-second that make a

large impact on the final re sults.

Michael Jordan Motorsports heads to Road Altanta in Braselton, Georgia on April 20-22 nd for the second

round of the AMA Pro National Guard Superbike Series.
