Parallel CityDirections: Using the given information, complete the map of Parallel City so that all requirements below are met.  

1. Start by naming your map “Parallel City”.  Write your name on the back of your project. (2pts)

2. Angle Parkway and Congruent Street are parallel to each other.  Label these two roads correctly. (2pts)

3. Geometry Road is a transversal.  Label this road.  (1 pt)

4. You have 8 total street corners.  Use the following six clues to place the buildings in the correct locations.  You may want to practice first, before starting your final copy. (2pts each, for  a total of 12 pts)a.  The courthouse and the school are alternate interior angles.b. The courthouse and hospital are vertical angles.c. The police station and hospital are alternate exterior angles. d. The library and pizza restaurant are alternate interior angles.e. The pizza restaurant and store are corresponding angles.f. The fire station and the store are a pair of alternate exterior angles. 

5.  Make it neat, label it, and be creative. (3pts).  You can draw your buildings, use the printed examples given to you (on the following two slides), or use your own printed examples.  Try creative challenges like using technology or creating a 3d model of Parallel City using recycled materials for a 2 point bonus. One 5 point bonus will be given to the most creative Parallel City.
