Visitors to this massive endeavor from March 3 to 8 will be able to check out 1,015 firms using 5,411 booths that make up Asia's 2nd largest machine show. This, the world’s 5th

largest show of its kind, offers 100,000 sqm of dedicated space across TWTCs Exhibition Halls 1 & 3, NANGANG Exhibition Hall and the Expo Dome.

TIMTOS has expanded by leaps and bounds as it strives to become the best procurement show and trend setter.

We l c o m e t o t h e T a i p e i International Machine Tool Show 2015. It has been another

record-breaking for TIMTOS organizers. About 1,015 exhibitors will showcase their products, covering 5,372 booths, these figures indicate that the show is getting better each time.

This year, around 706 domestic exhibitors cover 4,370 booths. Taipei Expo Dome has been added as one of the exhibition halls to replace TWTC Hall 2. TAMI and TAITRA will support both exhibitors and visitors with comprehensive services.

Perspective of 2015 Machine Tool Industry by John Hsu, Chairman of Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry

The Swiss and German pavilions have also been set up this year. Not to forget the attendance of many important foreign associations, such as CARMAHE from Argentina, CMTBA from China, JMTBA and JSPMI from Japan, KOMMA from Korea, UCIMU from Italy, IMTMA from India, MIB from Turkey, and VDW from Germany. These international associations and organizations are here to celebrate the 25th year of TIMTOS, which signifies the value of TIMTOS in the global machine tool market.

Taiwan’s machine tool export value in 2014

The total export value of Taiwan machine tool industry early this year went up, reaching US$3.75 billion, a 5.8 % growth on the same period last year. In the export ranking list, Mainland China ranked first with value of US$1.2 billion, accounting for 32.4% of the total number, an increase of 7.3% compared to the same period last year. The U.S. came second with an export value of US$414 million, with 11.1% of the total, and a 3% increase compared to the same period last year; followed by Turkey with 15.8% surge, Germany with 8.9% rise, Netherland with 17.9% hike, and Russia with 8.8% increase.

Meanwhile, the economic growth rate is the key to machinery export business. The world economic growth rate is about 2.7% in 2014 with Taiwan getting 3.51% rate.

Aside from Taiwan’s machine tool economic growth rates, machine tool export destinations valued as follows: China (7.3%), USA (2.3%), Japan (1.0%), Thailand (1.5%), Germany (1.4%), Indonesia (5.2%), Vietnam (5.4%), Korea (3.3%), Singapore (2.9), Philippines (6.1%), India (5.5%), and Malaysia (5.8%).

Chairman Hsu: Taiwan machine tool sector is of well payment

Being the the Chairman of TAMI, Mr. Hsu has been working hard for the past six years to promote various programs to develop machine tool talents in Taiwan. Hsu believes that continuous flow of talent resources can keep Taiwan’s machine tool sector going.

In the last three years, TAMI has been working with educational organizations to bridge the gap between factories and schools. By conducting ongoing educational programs with practical knowledge, students are required to visit factories with the guidance of their professors to experience and learn the facts about machine tools industry.

TAMI aims to build positive images of the machine tools industry to students, educating them about the sector. Further, TAMI also urges factory owners to provide their employees with reasonable wages and perfect working conditions. Thus, efforts between the industry and schools are developing.

In TIMTOS 2015, student groups are invited to the show. This is aimed to encourage students from relevant departments to come and see the exhibition. TAMI assigns professional instructors to guide the students for onsite education. As a regular volunteer, Chairman Hsu stated that even after his tour duty comes to an end, he will still work on this project in order to attract more people into this field.

TIMTOS: An exchange of knowledge and experience

TIMTOS is highly appraised just like EMO, IMTS, CIMT, and JIMTOF. This year TIMTOS celebrates its 25th year, and together all participants are writing history just like before. This exhibition is being recognized by many cutting edge machine manufacturers as a platform to present their latest innovations. Buyers all over the world are welcomed to this bi-annual machine tool event.

TAMI plays an important role in TIMTOS. They assist the exhibitors, and organize the flow of the show. For instance, this year TAMI invited important Japanese organizations to the exhibition and build networks between Taiwanese and Japanese manufacturers, elevating the technology of Taiwanese machine tool builders. Through the exchange of knowledge and experience, a broader market spectrum is opened for Taiwan manufacturers.

Uncertainty is opportunity

The world market has been a major driver of business worries recently with Eurozone’s slow recovery, fluctuating market demand in China, Korean FTA threats, Japanese Yen depreciation including Thailand’s revival speed. However, this market uncertainty is a golden opportunity for Taiwan manufacturers to upgrade its distinctiveness to set apart from its competitors in the global market.

Taiwanese must broaden their geographical and application spectrum in order to survive. For instance, even though the market in Russian is now crucial, it is still an important and huge market with a huge demand for machineries. Therefore, TAMI encourages Taiwanese suppliers to penetrate the market, and align their business models.

Local manufacturers must keep up with the trends such as Industry 4.0 and intelligent manufacturing systems and equip their plants with capable talents to be one step ahead of its contenders. TAMI hopes Taiwan machine tool industry could be the next trillion in the near future. To achieve this target, TAMI will always be here to offer its best service and support.

1. Hands-on experience with efficient intelligent automatic production

TIMTOS goes that extra mile to underscore the integrated ICT and automatic systems of Taiwan that boost efficiency and cut labor. This approach has become globally accepted by key makers who aim to maintain sustainable machine industries in their respective nations.

2.Feature area spotlights LOCAL CONTROLLERS for new business prospects

TIMTOS fea tures the LOCAL CONTROLLER Area at the request of the Precision Machinery Research & Development Center under the Industry Development Bureau, Ministry of Economic

Affairs. The latest controller applications cover the works, everything from the processing of mobile phone shells to dental implants. And the makers themselves demonstrate this tech, namely Advantech LNC Technology and Tongtai Machine & Tool.

3.Stretching over to the Expo Dome to profile elite forming machine tools

This year for the first time the EXPO DOME is added to TIMTOS. Dedicated to forming machine tools, it hosts 46 firms including Shieh Yih Machinery Industry, Sanes Presses, Chin Fong Machine Industrial and Kuen Lin Precision. They highlight the best in presses, shears, bending machines, casting machines and forging machines.

For added prospects TAITRA mobilized its global 60 overseas offices to invite target oversea buyers for procurement visits. These

visitors are among the more than 7,000 prized foreign buyers expected at the show. Many of them will be from Germany, Brazil, Turkey, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Russia, Kazakhstan and China.

Other confirmed big buyers include those from advanced digital control machine tool maker “KONOSVIT MAS A.S.” from the Czech Republic, the largest mechanical press manufacturer Jier Machine-Tool Group from China, automatic system firm FAGOR AUTOMATION from Spain and those from the massive industry group FINVAL-INDUSTRY based in the Russia Federation. Show-generate business is expected to exceed US$1 billion!

This expo also features more than 200 "one-by-one procurement talks" and over 30 professional technology seminars. They include the “Efficient Aerospace Processing Technology Seminar” and “Intelligent Firm Technology Forum”. There’s also the highly anticipated “12th R&D and Innovative

Machine Tool Competition” where 48 firms and 51 works vie for top place, with the winner announced at the Welcome Reception on March 4.

And TIMTOS leads the way in services that include its TIMTOS free app that profiles all participating firms, free product directory and special show shuttle buses that zip visitors between expo halls. The host even offers foreign buyers free MRT cards that are embedded into the passes for convenient travel on the MRT.

See how Taiwan machine tools are leading the way in smarter machine-

tools! TIMTOS 2015 is the machine show

where all the wonders of modern tech come in a thousand faces. Otherwise known as the 2015 Taipei Int'l Machine Tool Show, this tech-fest comes once every two years to link an industry eager to scout the latest efficiencies, breakthroughs and prospects.

The chief spotlight this year will highlight growing trends toward "automated production". That kind of production encompasses the global wave in smarter manufacturing that includes the best of the top two nations, namely "Advanced Manufacturing Partner (AMP) Program" in the USA and the "Industry 4.0 Plan" of Germany.

This event, the second largest in Asia and Taiwan's largest, is co-organized by TAITRA (Taiwan External Trade Development Council) and TAMI (Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry) and unfolds March 3rd to 8th at TWTC Halls 1 & 3, NANGANG Exhibition Hall and

Yuanshan EXPO Dome. The spring event joins more than 1,000 companies who are using 5,400 booths covering a record 100,000+ sq. meters of show space.

The venue is a leading site to size up the strengths and achievements of high-efficiency automated production for such as major stamping equipment manufacturers as Chin Fong's "automated steel coiling and feeding production line for automotive sheet metal" that uses laser to boost efficiency by more than 30% in welding thick and thin plates.

Swiss Pavilion at TIMTOS 2015The largest "Swiss" presence ever at TIMTOS

The Swiss pavilion at the upcoming International Machine Tool Show (TIMTOS) will showcase the latest machine tool and tools technologies of over 40 Swiss manufacturers. The Swiss pavilion in the Nankang Exhibition Hall will comprise 105 booths, making it the largest national pavilion and the largest Swiss pavilion of the last 20 years at the trade show this year. Supported by the Trade Office of Swiss Industries in Taipei and the Swiss Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Industries (Swissmem), it will display a wide spectrum of technologies in the fields of grinding, milling, sharpening, turning, jig boring, electrical discharge machining, gear cutting, and forming. The prominent Swiss machine tool presence indicates the importance and the vitality of this industry, and remarks further progress in producers’ attention to local customers’ needs, especially given the increased level of competition they are facing now both at home and abroad. Another some 50 booths are located outside of the Swiss pavilion, which will also exhibit Swiss machines and tools at the exhibition. TIMTOS takes place from 3-8 March 2015.

Switzerland and Taiwan are leaders in machine tool business

Citing the World Machine Tool Output & Consumption Survey in 2014, both Taiwan and Switzerland occupy prominent positions in the global machine tool business. Taiwan was the world's fourth largest exporter of machine tools in 2013, with machine tool export value reaching US$3.55 billion, while Switzerland recorded machine tool exports of US$2.70 billion, ranking fifth, the survey showed. According to government statistics, Switzerland was Taiwan's fourth largest supplier of machine

tools with sales of US$ 34 million for the first 10 months of 2014 (+7.0 %), accounting for 5.5 % of Taiwan's total machine tool imports. Substantial shipments of Swiss machinery, and not included in these figures, are destined for Taiwanese investors in other markets such as China and South East Asian countries. Swiss and Taiwanese machine tools are basically complementary to each other. With the recovery of global economy, industry insiders see a more favorable development in this specific sector of bilateral trade in the years to come.

The organizer of Swiss Pavilion, the Trade Office of Swiss Industries said that the major focus of the Swiss presence will be to demonstrate Taiwan metal manufacturing companies innovative and flexible solutions in the production process. Industrie 4.0 On Track To Transform Manufacturing ProcessesDeepak Achuthashankar, Industry Analyst, Industrial Automation & Process Control shares his views on the convergence of digital worlds with industrial manufacturing

A recent joint study by Industrial IP Advantage indicated that when industrial productivity and

manufactured exports slowing down with most economies in the region, it has found out that the integration of Internet of Things (IoT) into the Operational Technology (OT) of manufacturing industries will have a very significant global economic impact – to the tune of US$3.88 trillion over the next decade.

Regional economies with strong manufacturing traditions are planning to implement automation-friendly strategies to specifically address manpower shortage, increase production quality and volume, as well as enhance specialised manufacturing and standardisation. According to Mr. Achuthashankar, manufacturers must be able to accept and embrace Industrie 4.0 (The 4th Industrial Revolution) to stay competitive and succeed in future.

The Future Factories & Manufacturing Asia conference will analyse this trend and its impact on manufacturing industries. A panel moderator at the conference, he offers MTA2015 a sneak preview of his views on the current and future of the regional manufacturing landscape, and the impact technology has and will have on today's manufacturing processes.

Industrie 4.0 – The Concept

T h e p r i m a r y g o a l s o f a n y manufacturing or production plant are and will be to enhance productivity, reduce time-to-market and decrease overall costs. Today, manufacturers face unprecedented challenges as global economic forces drive competition. These challenges can be overcome when the real time production systems converge with the cyber world and this convergence will be driven by information and communication technologies (ICT). This grand collaboration is expected to forge innovative automation technologies as well as advanced services. Such innovations would reduce time to market, make production more efficient and flexible – and help manufacturers retain their competitive edge in the global market.

We are at the brink of witnessing a new instalment of industrial revolution. Industrie 4.0, though a novel concept that has originated in Germany, is an all-encompassing one that has currently achieved global resonance. Big Data, Internet of Things, Internet of Services and Cyber Security are the four functional pillars of Industrie 4.0.

Industrie 4.0 is a platform that enables the unification of information amongst

participants in the entire value chain – from product inception to design, manufacturing, services and even refurbishment. The end result will be a system in which all processes are completely integrated and would exchange information in real time. This revolution will transform the manufacturing processes in synchronisation with the speed of change in customer needs – which implies making the production process flexible without taking excess time.

Twenty years ago, Asian manufacturers sat at the far end of the supply chain spectrum. Products were designed and proto-typed in the Europe or USA and later shipped to Asia for cheap, volume manufacturing. Now, Asian manufacturing companies, with China leading the way, manage design and manufacturing indigenously. Today, China is striving hard to revamp its manufacturing industry. The country's 12th Five Year Plan (2011-2015) sets out the objective of reducing dependency on foreign technology and to assume global technology leadership, particularly in high-end equipment manufacturing and next-generation ICT.

Industrie 4.0 – The Adoption in Southeast Asia

In Singapore, I see a high emphasis on promoting high value-add manufacturing, innovations and new technologies, including: pervasive microfluidics, printed electronics and nano-manufacturing of multi-functional products. These are some of the sub verticals that are expected to witness high degree of further automation. Sustainable manufacturing, including: pharmaceutical and chemical production and development of methodologies and tools for assessment of sustainability in manufacturing are some of the areas that will employ superior ICT-based tools for resource optimisation.

S i n g a p o r e a n d M a l a y s i a a r e technologically advanced and lead the world in many niche segments. A major strength of these countries is the integration of micro technologies into products, with photonics being a prime example. I believe their progress is partly driven by large government subsidies and substantial investments, particularly in their university systems.

While it is true that Vietnam, Indonesia

and Thailand are low cost labour abundant countries, it is high time they cut their umbilical cord with the old model of development – cheap labour and low innovation. I’m quite optimistic about their transition as the respective governments have the necessary policies in place for high value manufacturing. Furthermore, the concern on growing competition from other ASEAN countries motivates these economies to move into new-age manufacturing. Business-friendly climate, diverse sources of investments, coupled with a large supply chain, backed up by a geographical advantage and supported by a network of incentives, are some of the factors that will enable these countries to emerge as valuable players on the global manufacturing stage.

Industrie 4.0 – Challenges & Opportunities

From a vendor standpoint - these challenges could be opportunities to niche companies. I firmly believe Industrie 4.0 is not just a mere new industrial paradigm with regards to technology. Industrie 4.0 will alter the competitive landscape dramatically. The manufacturing sector will soon witness a flock of unheard names offering comprehensive end-to-end ICT solutions. Joint ventures, collaborations, partnerships and Ecosystem would be the market go-to strategies for companies in order to remain competitive.

From an End User (not be confused with final human consumers) standpoint - One of the biggest roadblocks that I see is the passive mind set of the industrial community. Most enterprises show reluctance to change or experiment. This may prove to be detrimental in the long run. Apart from this, challenges surrounding awareness and skill gaps are areas that need immediate attention.

Looking ahead, the potential financial returns from Industrie 4.0 are arguably the biggest incentive for businesses to move ahead. Industrie 4.0 will have a midas touch in every aspect of technology, or business. Manufacturers must be able to accept and embrace Industrie 4.0 to succeed in the future. If not, then it is quite certain that they will be left behind.

Savings Through Spindle Up Time

The need to improve machine efficiency is more important today, than at any time in history.

U.S. manufacturers have invested b i l l i ons o f do l l a r s i n new equipment during the past two

decades to grow their manufacturing base, only to miss two key areas: people and processes.

To counteract an aging workforce – the average age of manufacturing workers in the United States is 45.6 years for machinist and 51 years for tool and dies makers (Bureau of Labor Statistics) – companies need to invest in people and processes.

For example, many shops invest in new machines to initiate change, but spending

$500,000 for a new 5-axis or high-speed machine is not enough. Placing an $800 vise with 1920s technology on a new machine to make one part at a time while spending 30 to 60 minutes changing over the workholding, is not a being productive. That would be like buying an HDTV without investing in HD channels.

It takes more than a new machine to increase productivity. Increased productivity is about increasing spindle up time. Machines do not make any money if they are not making chips, and there are numerous ways to increase spindle up time. A few of these solutions include setup time reduction, greater flexibility, increased table capacity, and improved part quality.

A quick change pallet system is one

of the easiest ways to increase spindle up time. The most advanced systems locate and clamp the pallet in the same step. The quick change concept is a means for the machinist to change out a fixture, workpiece, or other workholding device in a matter of minutes with up to 5µ (0.0002") repeatability.

However, one a rea the shops lose productivity is with changeover. Traditionally, shops across the country seem to consider it acceptable to spend anywhere from 30 minutes to two hours, or even longer, to change over a machine one or two times a day. This equates to one to four hours of loss productivity per day. At $60/hr machine rate, only one hour a day equates to more than $15,600 per year lost per machine.

Another benefit of a highly accurate quick change pallet system is being able to interrupt a job. Parts can be removed from the machine while still in the fixture and inspected. If additional work is required, the fixture can be returned to the machine within 5µ from where it was removed and re-machined, without the painful loss of time relocating the part.

In addition to the quick changeover, a quick change pallet system makes it easier for off-line accurately setup. Off-line setup also allows robotic pallet systems to load and unload machines.

Facilities that standardize with a quick change pallet system increase flexibility. The ability to change over a machine, quickly and accurately, enables a shop to interrupt

jobs on a machine for a more urgent project, creating a lesser impact to the cost and delivery of the interrupted job. It also allows production parts to run in smaller batch sizes. In addition to interrupting a job, the flexibility to be able to move a job from one machine to another provides additional value. If a machine goes down for service or is committed to another job, a standard quick change system enables moving the part to another machine in minutes.

A second area where productivity is lost is table capacity. Many shops are not aware of compact flexible fixturing that allows 16 parts to be uniformly clamped on a 16" x 16" pallet, or the ability to load multiple

parts on a 5-axis machine, and access up to five faces per part.

processing, including through-hole work. Although there may be some tradeoffs, like adjusting cutting forces, in most cases the benefits outweigh the costs. The ability to access five faces not only increases spindle up time, it also allows for processing of all five faces from the same set-up datums. By reducing the number of setups, the risk of set up errors decreases, resulting in improved part quality. An additional time saver in magnetics is the use of self-shimming poles. This option allows for parts to be held in their natural state without inducing stress and pulling a workpiece to the table. This feature eliminates costly time spent shimming, significantly improving workpiece flatness.

The entire increased spindle up time and workpiece access is irrelevant if the part quality is sacrificed. When choosing workholding for increased productivity, the choice of quality is essential. The true difference between top quality solutions and inexpensive solutions may be nothing more than an additional two to three months payback; however, the cost of less than quality parts, lost time, high scrap costs, and lost reputation is detrimental to the company. To purchase anything less than quality actually costs more.

U.S. manufacturing does not have to be headed for a crisis, but it will take investment in both the right people and the proper technology. Therefore, manufacturers need to invest in the tools that will allow for the maximum number of parts to be produced as quickly and flexibly as possible, and with the best quality. This will not only allow for U.S. manufacturing to survive but to lead the world again.

Kenturn focuses on spindle development

Highly respected by machine tool manufacturers in the market, Kenturn focuses on the development of direct-drive spindles and belt spindles. Shorter delivery time and endurable quality are favored and trusted by machine center builders; accordingly, around 80% of Kenturn spindle products are for OEMs with specific order requests. Only about 20% of Kenturn spindles are made for Kenturn's own specifications. The company's products are used in turning centers, machine centers, and precision grinders; end users include manufacturers f rom the IC , semiconduc to r, and automotive industries.

This time at TIMTOS 2015, Kenturn will be promoting its built-in motor spindle MVB1318A. This spindle product is able to cool the axis and thus able to reduce thermal deformation issues by using the German made OTT HSK-A63 drawbar system. Furthermore, the oil-air lubricating bearings withstand long-term cutting operation jobs. The power of the spindle’s motor is up to 25 KW, and can reach speeds of up to18,000 RPM. With dual drive chunk, this product can be used in vertical machining centers and medium gantry machines.

Reinforced quality and extended production line

Kenturn said that in order to manage and have full control of production, they must cooperate intently with all outsourcing lines and extend in-house production lines. Now, the company has built a new plant near the old one which covers an area of 50,000 square meters. "We expect the new plant to provide us with more than 100% upgraded capacity at a proposed rate of 3,000 spindles per month," Kenturn representative said.

After the United States called for manufacturing to return to America, order requests for Kenturn from the U.S. soared. In 2014, the company had to operate 24 hours a day in order to keep up with the high demand from the U.S. The manufacturing lead time is thus far beyond expectations. As a result, Kenturn has recruited people from different backgrounds regardless of their past work experience in order to increase its productivity. While doing so the company

YSM: Metal forming expert in auto & motorcycle sectors

YSM has been developing press forming machines since the 1980’s and has established a solid foundation in machine R&D. has adopted strict training to ensure employee quality. It takes about 3 years to train a qualified "Kenturnee", and it begins with frame reading and milling training, the very fundamentals for onsite operators. Last year, there were about 120 employees, with an average age of 35 years old.

Aside from its internal training program, Kenturn also works with the government- funded research institute in Taiwan, the Precision Machinery Research Development Center (PMC), to improve employee qual i ty. The education is highly regarded as this is a highly focused and plant-specific

subject. Kenturn greatly appreciates PMC's contribution. At the moment, even operators from the department of Liberal Arts are professionals like the others.

Kenturn future projects

Though located far from the source of raw materials for their products and with transportation as an issue, Kenturn has taken huge steps towards developing up and downstream chain inside the factory. The production line extension makes Kenturn even more competent with its manufacturing capability. With rising order requests and upgraded export

percentages, Kenturn has reorganized its production lines and established new plants.

Aside from the domestic market, the company also sells its spindles to international buyers in Russia, India, Switzerland and America. FEMCO launches integrated project service for users

As a machine tool manufacturer with a profound history in Taiwan, FEMCO has evolvedfrom its inception until now. Quaser’s image and the Taiwan spirit

The company’s founders are well aware that Quality and Service are the two key issues for the European market; thus they hired German marketing consultants to smoothen their entry when they began their business. A service-oriented spirit: QuaserSwitzerland and QuaserKunshan

Quaser has had success in the European market since its entrance in the early 1990s, and currently 67% of its exports are destined for that market. Such a distant export market demands an organized service system; otherwise customers might encounter serious problems. In the beginning, whenever Quaserreceived an emergency call for replacement parts from customers, the headquarters in Taiwan would air freight the requisite component units. Recalling this process in the past, Quaser president Rock Liao admitted that although it was very costly, it was nevertheless very important to respond quickly because of the importance of establishing its positive brand image. Investing in and providing services to European customers have

been well worth it, Mr. Liao shared, since it further built a solid reputation for the company.

By the mid-2000’s, business in Europe had expanded to the extent that Quaser had local agents in most Western European countries. In 2007, a decision was made to establish a technical service center that would be able to respond to customer needs speedily and cost-effectively, and Quaser founded its European center in Switzerland, at the center of the European continent. The Swiss office provides better service efficiency in component delivery and builds onits positive image in the area; consequently, Quaser has become even more competitive in the market,on par with local European manufacturers.

Meanwhile, to better serve users in Main land China , the company established a service center inKunshan. While the needs of Chinese machine tool users are not as developed as their European counterparts, Mr. Liao shared thatthe decision to provide immediate and accessible support to the Chinese machining industry is strategical and will prepare Quaser’s expansion route in the Chinese market. At present about 11% of exports are delivered to this market.

Today, both Quaser Switzerland and QuaserKunshan have showrooms, warehouses, and well-trained technicians. Especially in the Chinese market, Quaser holds routine training programs for agents to train their technicians and maintain the highest level of service quality.

Local research resources are put to best use in the machine tool sector

President Liao expressed his great appreciation for the assistance Quaser has received from the local associations and research institutes. They have been helpful in bridging the technology gap between high-end customers and the company, as in instances when Taiwanese technicians have difficulty comprehending foreign technology even when it’s directly demonstrated to them. The gate's history is introduced on the walls, and there are railway-related relics from the Machinery Bureau established by Qing Dynasty-era Taiwan Governor Liu Ming-chuan. In the escalator corridor at MRT Taipei Arena Station, enjoy the public artwork “Startup Password.” The work's theme is the sporting history and geo-cultural character of the Taipei Arena area. Using the Moire effect, a mechanical installation takes a flat silhouette cut-out image and creates lifelike motion. The station's Exit 2 is a 1/4 mockup of the adjacent arena, with the same arc shape and white paint with transparent backboard used. In contrast, stylish Exit 4 is a cross-section rendering of the arena, with transparent backboard, concrete walls, and 30 panes of 3D glass used. Close to the station is leafy Dunhua N. Rd. as well as public artworks, and inside Taipei Arena you can enjoy ice-skating, concerts by famous stars, sports competitions, and other activities. There's also upscale shopping at the Breeze Center Nanjing department store and clothing boutiques, great restaurants, and cultural-arts performances at Taipei Metropolitan Hall.

At MRT Nanjing Sanmin Station, you'll see brick walls on all sides featuring ceramic panels and kiln glass. The designer has used local community archways and city gateways as creative inspiration, giving the interior an artistic ambience. Around the station are famed brand businesses offering fine dining and premium souvenir shopping: Chia Te Bakery, Snowflake Bakery, Chien Hsiang (meat products), Chun Shui Tang Cultural Tea House, Wang Steak, Lienyi Steakhouse First Restaurant, etc. For filling snack treats, in the lanes off Sec. 5, Nanjing E. 国際的製造業のハブと呼ばれる台

湾でビッグネームが一堂に会します。元

サッカー場のExpoドーム、台北国際花

博覧会2010~2011年が開かれた多機

能会場が、TIMTOSの展示エリアに追加

されました。

正式名は台北市である台北は台湾

の首都で、工業展示会が多く開催されま

す。ExpoドームはTIMTOS 2015の会

場として成型機及び関連コンポーネント

のメーカーに6,030平米の展示スペース

を提供しています。

T I M T O S のオーガナイザーの

TAITRAによるとブースへの需要は増加

TIMTOS 2015 3月3日より開催

TIMTOSとして知られている台北

国際工作機械ショーの2015年版が3月

3日から8日までの期間開催されます。

この展示会は今やアジアにおける主要

な世界規模の工作機械展示会となるま

でに成長し、ビジネスの交流と促進に役

立っています。展示会はTWTCのホール

1&3、Expo ドーム、及びTWTCの南港

展示ホールで開催されます。これまでに

1,100社以上が9,500を超えるブースに

登録を済ませ、出展社は10%、ブース数

は12%の増加となっています。出展社の

増加は本年からの全般的な経済回復を

示す一つの指標と言えるでしょう。

これまでは限られたブース数が常

に問題となっていましたが、今回は新し

くExpoドームが追加される事がオーガ

ナイザーから発表されました。加えて、今

回はTAITRAが出展社に対して販売促

進のための多くの無料チャンネルを提供

する事になりました；詳細はTIMTOSの

TIMTOSにはこれまで様々な国か

らの出展社やバイヤーが参加してきまし

た。2013年には多くの外国からのバイヤ

ーを集めましたが、67%がアジア諸国か

らでした。中国、日本、マレーシア、韓国、

タイ、インドネシア、そしてインドからのバ

イヤーでした。欧州からは16%で、トルコ、

ドイツ、イタリア、ロシアからのバイヤーで

した。さらに10%が南アフリカとサウジア

ラビアでした。また米国、ブラジル、メキシ

コからのバイヤーもありました。TIMTOS

2013のバイヤー上位十カ国は、中国、日

本、マレーシア、韓国、タイ、インド、米国、

トルコ、インドネシア、シンガポールの順

でした。統計によれば、2015年も依然と

して中国が主要なバイヤーであろうと予

想されていますが、政情不安のタイは米

国、ロシア、あるいはトルコに取って代ら

れるだろうと思われます。

2014年の前半2期、台湾の工作機

械輸出は堅調な伸びを見せ、1月から7

月の輸出額は2013年の同期と比較して

4.3%増加しました。TIMTOS 2015はス

ケールを拡大して多くの外国からのバイ

ヤーの参加が予想されますので、展示会

のオーガナイザー及び出展社共々、来場

者に最高の製品を提供すべく全力で準

備を進めています。

TIMTOS 2015にExpoドームを追加しており、その結果展示会場はTWTC ホ

ール1から東のTWTC南港展示ホール

へと拡大し、さらに西のExpoドームへと

拡大し、ゴールデントライアングルを形成

しています。

四つの展示ホール（TWTCホール

1&3、TWTC 南港展示ホール、Expoド

ーム）は異なる工作機械のカテゴリー別

に分けられて、来場者が様々な機械を見

ながら比較検討できるようになっていま

す。こうしてバイヤーがそれぞれのニーズ

に合った最適な選択肢を発見し易いよう

に工夫されています。

ゴールデントライアングルは来訪

者が楽しめる様々なアートセンターを取

り囲んでいます。沢山の店が Expoド

ームを取り囲み、フードコートやノベル

ティーショップが軒を連ねています。こ

れらの楽しみはTIMTOSに多くの彩り

を加えています。この展示会が単に来

2014年の1月から7月の間、台湾

の工作機械輸出はUS$21億3千7百万

に達し、2013年同期を4.3%上回りまし

た。中国本土、米国、トルコへの輸出がそ

れぞれ33.4%、11.1%、5.1%を記録しま

した。これら三か国が台湾からの工作機

械輸入の上位三か国で、三か国への輸

出はそれぞれ5.7%、5.2%、6.6%増加し

ました。

世界市場での台湾製工作機械の販

売は、数年来価格と品質の向上で成長を

続け競争力を強化しています。全工作機

械のカテゴリーの中でも特にグラインダ

ーとマシニングセンターが2013年同期

比でそれぞれ29.4%と11.8%の二桁成

長を見せています。これら二つのカテゴリ

ーが工作機械分野での輸出を力強く押

し上げています。これらの機械に対する高

い需要の原因は中国でのエレクトロニク

ス及び鋳造分野の拡大にあります。加え

て、中国政府の政策が最新式製造技術

を推し進めており、高精度のグラインダー

2014年台湾の工作機械輸出は堅調な伸び

及びマシニングセンターに対する巨大な

需要があるからです。また台湾の工作機

械メーカーは増加する米国のバイヤーか

らの需要にも応えています。

工作機械の製造及び輸出に対す

る明るい展望を維持するために、台湾

の工作機械産業は研究開発に資源の投

入と投資を拡大し、海外のサプライヤ

ーへの依存度を減らすよう努力を重ね

ています。さらにメーカーは市場の拡

大を目指してマーケティング、マネジ

メント、アフターサービスの向上に力

を入れています。

TIMTOS2015が歴史的な規模で

開催されます。益々拡大する成型機器分

野の展示に対応するため、TIMTOSの

台北エクスポドームスペシャル

第2 5屆「台北國際工具機展

(TIMTOS)」將於本(104)年3月3日至8日於台北世貿一、

三館、南港展覽館及圓山爭艷館盛大

展出。本年共1,015家參展廠商、使用

5,411個攤位，展出面積達10萬平方公

尺，展覽規模再創歷史新高，已成為全

球前五大、亞洲第二工具機專業展覽。

台北國際工具機展規模逐年成長、

展品愈趨專業，不僅是最佳採購平台，

也是引領產業趨勢的領頭羊，本屆展覽

聚焦如下：

一、搭上智慧化生產浪潮、體現「高效率自動化生產」

隨著科技的進步及生產成本不斷提

高智慧化生產已成為全球趨勢。臺灣

工具機產業則是憑藉本地ICT產業的優

勢，進行資通訊整合及自動化系統整

合，以提高生產效率，降低人力與管理

成本。

二、新增「搭載國產控制器」專區、開創新商機

經濟部工業局委託精密機械研究發

展中心，設立「國產控制器」示範應用

展示專區，該區將首次於本展展出研華

寶元等國內業者與東台等廠商合作的國

產機台應用成果，並呈現手機殼加工、

植牙牙根等製作過程。

中華民國對外貿易發展協會秘書長黃文榮先生

三、首度使用圓山爭艷館、專館展出成型工具機

今年首度於臺北圓山爭艷館設立金

屬成型工具機展示專館。該館共46家參

展廠商、使用307個攤位，主要廠商包

括協易、申琦、金豐、坤霖等，展示機

種包括沖床、剪床、摺床、鑄造機、鍛

造機等。

而為廣邀國外買主來臺，外貿協會

更動員全球60個駐外單位，全力邀請國

際買主來臺參觀採購，預計邀請7,000名國外買主; 而德國、巴西、土耳其、

泰國、馬來西亞、菲律賓、俄羅斯、

哈薩克及中國大陸等國亦紛紛籌組買

主團專程來臺，其他已確認將來臺之

重要買主包括捷克高階數控機床大廠

「KOVOSVIT MAS A.S.」、世界最大

機械壓力機製造商之一的中國大陸濟南

二機床集團、西班牙自動化系統控制大

廠FAGOR AUTOMATION、俄羅斯大

型工業集團FINVAL-INDUSTRY等。預

估商機上看10億美元。

除展出內容，展覽期間亦舉辦多

元活動，包括超過200場「一對一採購

洽談會」；超過30場最新專業技術研

討會，其中包括「高效率航太加工技

術研討會」、「智慧工廠技術論壇」

際工具機展TIMTOS盛會，

在有限的展館條件下，經由主辦單位

的努力，TIMTOS再次創造新記錄。

首先在2015年，有1,015家廠商參與，

使用共計5,411個攤位，這一個記錄較

2013年的1,009家5,372個攤位有微幅的

成長。其中，國內參展商數目為706

家，使用4,370個攤位，而國內外參展

商比例與上一屆相當。這一屆的台北

國際工具機展較以往最大的不同點，

是因應世貿二館不再作為展館用途，

而南港展覽館2館尚在建設中，因此使

用圓山花博爭艷館做為展覽館用。對

於此一因應辦法，機械公會與外貿協

會共同努力，提供適當的軟硬體服務

給所有的參展廠商及買主。

如同過去，本屆一樣有瑞士館及德

國館於展覽中展出，不但如此，非常榮

幸本次的TIMTOS有許多的海外公協會

前來參與，如阿根廷CARMAHE、中國

大陸CMTBA、日本JMTBA與JSPMI、

韓國KOMMA、義大利UCIMU、印度

IMTMA、土耳其MIB、與德國VDW等

重要機構，如此多的國際重要組織皆一

同前來共同歡度TIMTOS的25週年，可

以看到臺灣的工具機最大盛會，台北國

際工具機展TIMTOS在國際工具機產業

中的重要地位。

臺灣機械工業同業公會理事長徐秀滄先生

臺灣工具機2014年出口情況與展望

在2014年，臺灣工具機出口總值

達37億5,328萬美元，較上一年成長了

5.8%。在2014年的前十六大出口市場

中，第一名中國大陸佔比為32.4%，達

12億1,600萬美元，較上一年成長幅度

為7.3%。其次是美國市場，在工具機

總出口佔比為11.1%，達4億1,483萬美

元，較上一年成長幅度為3.0%。再來

依序是土耳其成長18.5%、泰國負成

長25.3%、德國成長8.9%、荷蘭成長

17.9%、俄羅斯成長8.8%。雖然全球市

場各有消長，但對各區域的經營仍需戰

戰兢兢以對，不可掉以輕心。

2014年全球經濟成長率約為2.7%，

臺灣的經濟成長率為3.51%，臺灣的

主要機械出口市場中國大陸預估為

7.3%、美國2.3%、日本1.0%、泰國

1.5%、德國1.4%、印尼5.2%、越南

5.4%、韓國3.3%、新加坡2.9%、菲律

賓6.1%、印度5.5%、馬來西亞5.8%。

經濟成長率是影響機械出口的最主要因

素，而臺灣廠商由於面臨韓國經貿自由

度領先、日本中高端機械受惠日元貶值

影響、以及中國大陸機械貨品的國際售

價競爭力三面夾擊，必須往多方面市場

拓銷、往多應用領域開發，如此才能成

功突圍，而這有賴於本地機械與相關科

系人材的持續培養。

徐: 臺灣工具機產業不是22K產業

在六年的任期內，徐理事長暨公會

同仁努力推動臺灣本土工具機產業人

材培訓計畫，深耕厚植先進與實際的

產學接軌於北中南各技職院校內。因

為瞭解到唯有透過不斷產出優良的人

材，臺灣的工具機產業才有未來，所

以自兩三年前開始，公會與教育機構

合作，在全臺灣的技職教育系統中建

立正面且正確的工具機產業形象，透

第25屆台北國際工具機展覽會

多方的應用方向、良好的薪資待遇、國

際化的思維以及廣闊的未來，這些實際

且正面的形象透過產學合作，逐漸深植

在臺灣頂尖技職院校的學子心中。臺灣

的工具機產業是高科技精密工業，公會

努力地教育年輕人，這是一個值得年輕

人投入的產業，並且也呼籲所有的企業

主以合理的薪資回饋員工。

透過公會的努力，產學接軌的成

效如今在全臺開花結果。在這次的

TIMTOS展覽中，也有公開邀請學生團

體前來共襄盛舉，以專車補助方式鼓勵

相關科系的學生前來，公會並安排有專

業人士在場給予講解指導，讓學生瞭解

不同市場的需求機種、臺灣的工具機強

項、產業區隔等實務知識。身為工具機

產業永遠的志工，理事長徐秀滄先生表

示，不論是現在還是任期屆滿之後，他

都會繼續努力培養臺灣的工具機人材，

吸引優秀的人材進入工具機產業。

台北國際工具機展兼具傳統與潮流

細數全球的大小工具機展覽，台

北國際工具機展在諸多展覽中與歐洲

EMO、美國IMTS、中國CIMT、日本

JIMTOF等大展齊名。在本屆已經進入

第25年，期間不斷地透過創新的原素在

全球工具機展覽歷史中寫下記錄，長期

下來TIMTOS展覽已成為頂尖工具機暨

零組件廠商發表最新科技與產品的重要

平台，全球買主也都認真看待這一個兩

年一屆的重大盛會。

機械公會在展覽中認真扮演著重要

的角色，協助展覽與參展商有更好的發

展。以這次台日互動為例，臺灣廠商面

對全球市場的激烈競爭，機械公會努力

與日本國內的業者及公協會架橋，在本

次的展覽有重要的日本團體來台參加，

期待透過與日本各大組織建立起長期的

台日合作，推升臺灣工具機的科技水

準，進入更高端的市場。

以堅強實力與拓銷面對全球不確定因素

展望2015年，市場上有很多不確

定的因素與潛在危機，比如泰國投資

情況回穩速度、俄羅斯市場波動、歐

元區成長放緩、大陸市場需求量不確

定、韓國與各國洽簽FTA後帶來的影

響、日元貶值等等，這些問題都告訴

我們，臺灣廠商必需要繼續提升自己

的獨特性才能與競爭對手區隔市場，

並且要把產品分散推廣到不同的地

區，針對不同的應用領域深耕，如此

才能在激烈的競爭中站穩腳步。以俄

羅斯市場為例，雖然目前稍有波動，

但是俄羅斯乃是一個非常大的市場，

需要有長期性的經營，因此機械公會

的角度，仍是鼓勵臺灣廠商在這個時

候繼續勇敢耕耘俄羅斯市場。透過風

暴與艱辛，臺灣業者反而能夠在冬天

練兵，日後便能更切身瞭解各個市場

的全貌。

展望臺灣工具機產業未來五年，臺

灣廠商應積極進行產品研發與轉型，例

如配合工業4.0智慧製造與智慧工具機

等進行，並加緊人才培訓，以因應少子

化所帶來缺工的情形。有充分的準備，

才有繼續成長的機會，公會期待在不久

的將來，臺灣工具機產業很快可以成為

兆元產業，為臺灣的外貿拓展與全球的

工業發展盡更多的貢獻。

台北國際工具機展連續兩屆超越日本國際工具機展

2015年台北國際工具機展(TIMTOS)規模再攀高峰，共1,015家廠商，使用

5,411個攤位，預計吸引國內外5萬3,000名業者參觀，連續兩屆超越日本國際工

具機展(JIMTOF)，穩居亞洲第二大。

本屆參展商包括國內知名大廠，

如協鴻、台中精機、程泰、永進、東

台、百德、亞崴、福裕、慶鴻、上

銀、友嘉、金豐、協易等。外商則來

至德國、義大利、日本、瑞士、西班

牙、美國等18國及地區，共計超過260家。其中除連續10屆參加TIMTOS的瑞

士館外，德經處也首度與德國經濟能

源部(BMWi)及德國工具機製造商協會

(VDW)共同籌組德國國家館；此外，

大陸海貿會也籌組海峽兩岸工具機展參

展團。在本屆展會中，我們可以找到世

界知名工具機品牌，如MAZAK、DMG MORI、YASDA、JTEKT、SODICK、

MITSUBISHI、TRUMPF、KUKA、

FA N U C、S I E M E N S、B O S C H、

CITIZEN、IGUS、BLUM等。

本屆將繼續舉辦的「一對一採購洽

談會」，預計超過200場次，其他的大

型活動包括開幕典禮、歡迎酒會、國際

記者會、超過30場的研討會及新產品發

表會等。一如以往，「工具機研究發展

創新產品競賽」吸引全臺48家廠商共51件參賽作品，將於明天的「台北國際工

具機展覽會」歡迎酒會暨「第12屆工具

規模最大之瑞士國家館將於工具機展盛大展出

2015年台北國際工具機展中，由超

過四十家瑞士原廠品牌組成之瑞士國家

館，將展出其工具機及工具最先進的技

術。本屆瑞士館位於南港展覽館樓上

展場，涵蓋105攤位，是展場中最大的

國家館，亦是二十年來規模最大的瑞士

館。瑞士館係由瑞士商務辦事處及瑞士

機械電子工程產業公會統籌；強力展現

瑞士工具機產業最先進之機械與設備，

提供買家各種符合不同產業需求之機

械及設備，包括磨床、銑床、刨床、車

床、搪床、放電加工機、齒輪加工機、

成型機等；瑞士館的組成及展出，凸顯

了瑞士廠商對臺灣工具機產業的關注，

更是對本地客戶需求的重視，尤其是目

前無論在本國或國外市場競爭日趨激烈

的現實環境底下。除瑞士館以外，還有

將近五十多個攤位，在瑞士館外展出瑞

士產品。台北國際工具機展於2015年3月3日至8日展出。

瑞士與臺灣是全球工具機領導國家

依2014年全球工具機生產暨銷售調

查報告顯示，臺灣及瑞士在全球工具機

產業占舉足輕重的地位。臺灣是2013年度全球第四大工具機出口國，出口值達

三十五億五千萬美元；而瑞士排名第五

大工具機出口國，出口值亦達二十七億

美元。另依臺灣政府數據亦顯示，瑞

士是臺灣第四大工具機進口來源，二O

台北國際工具機展瑞士館一四年一月到十月，臺灣自瑞士進口

三千四百萬美元的工具機 (成長百分之

七)，占工具機總進口額的百分之五點

五。至於臺灣廠商購買瑞士機具後，但

投資到其他地區如中國大陸或東南亞國

家的工廠，該金額不在顯示之數據中。

臺灣與瑞士工具機基本上是互相互補。

隨著國際經濟狀況持續好轉，瑞士與臺

灣工具機廠商對雙方未來經貿發展，都

抱持著樂觀的態度。

瑞士館展出重點

瑞士館主辦單位瑞士商務辦事處指

出，本屆瑞士館展出重點在於為臺灣金

屬加工製造商提供生產流程創新及彈性

的解決方案。在不斷競爭及產業升級的

環境下，更精密，更快速，更具生產

力，並提供使用者友善的使用介面是最

重要的幾項元素；瑞士工具機產業涵蓋

中高階切削機、成型機和各種特殊用

途機具，瑞士工具機廠商專精於解決各

種困難複雜的問題，提供客戶量身定做

與最新的技術方案。瑞士工具機主要客

戶包括機械產業、自動化產業、航太工

業、光學醫療儀器、微型機械產業、手

錶及國防工業等。使用高效率、針對特

定範疇的機器，比使用低價格、用於一

般製造的機器，實為更好的選擇，因為

一件成品的最終成本應該才是最重要的

考量因素，成本的計算方式並不僅僅包

括購買製造機器或設備的費用，同時也

需要包含整個生產過程中的花費，如電

力的消耗、生產所需時間、成品和良

率。瑞士工具機是生產者最佳的夥伴。

體現「高效率自動化生產」就在2015年台北國際工具機展

由中華民國對外貿易發展協會與臺

灣機械工業同業公會共同主辦之

「2015年台北國際工具機展(TIMTOS)」將於3月3日至8日於台北世貿中心一、

三館、南港展覽館及圓山爭艷館盛大展

出。兩年舉辦一次的TIMTOS，2015年總計有來自全球18個國家，高達1015家廠商，使用5411個攤位，總展出面積超

過10萬平方公尺，規模再度突破歷屆紀

錄，坐穩亞洲第二大工具機展，更是全

球機械產業矚目之焦點。

身為全台規模最大展覽，工具機產

業亦為臺灣重要經濟命脈，主辦單位陸

續推出一系列專題報導，試從本屆展覽

亮點切入，讓業界一窺「2015年台北國

際工具機展(TIMTOS)」面貌。

本屆TIMTOS將展現臺灣工具機業

邁向「高效率自動化生產」之趨勢：此

概念可謂搭上全球智慧化生產(smarter manufacturing)之浪潮，如美國「先進製

造夥伴計畫AMP)」、德國「工業4.0計畫」等即是此浪潮先鋒。本屆眾多指

標大廠皆展示「高效率自動化生產」之

實力與成果，如本屆沖壓設備大廠金豐

「汽車鈑金自動化鋼板捲料落料生產

線」的自動化系統整合，可將厚板、薄

板以雷射焊接一次成型，效率提升30%以上；遠東機械集團旗下發得科技，亦

投入全自動化生產，近期成功開發出兩

款鋁輪圈全自動化生產線，可分別用來

加工大型卡車與小客車鋁輪圈，生產效

率極高。以「先端技術、高性價比」為

機械設計研發兩大主軸的東台精機，自

行研發的自動化生產線還添加了智能化

功能，包含工件種類判別、自動量測及

補正等。臺灣工具機高效率生產線，更

讓東台精機嚴瑞雄董事長大膽預言「臺

灣鋁合金輪圈CNC加工機有機會成為全

球第一品牌」。

臺灣工具機產業朝向自動化發展是

股不可擋的趨勢且充滿潛在龐大商機，

臺灣具ICT產業優勢，未來可積極發展

結合工具機與機器手臂之單元式自動化

生產線，且更可進一步結合臺灣自動化

設備與工業機器人，進一步將「製造業

服務化」，以提供高附加價值。

台北國際工具機展的新生力軍: 從花博談起

作為全球多元文化的大熔爐，臺灣

匯聚了全球的菁英與發展能量。

在2010年時台北市在眾多的國際城市

競爭中勝出，以能夠容納20,000人的足

球場所全面改建的爭豔館合併周圍展

區，舉辦了聞名全世界的台北花博，

如今先進現代的爭豔館隨著2015年亞洲

最重要的工具機展台北國際工具機展

(TIMTOS)來臨，也加入成為展覽館的

行列，讓TIMTOS以更驚豔的面貌面對

全球買主。

台北市成熟的展覽產業不只僅限於

花博等觀光產業面向，同時也全方位地

朝向工業展覽會發展。在2015年的台北

國際工具機展期間，爭豔館將加入，成

為展館之一，以其廣擴的6,030平方公

尺面積容納以金屬成型工具機為主題的

各式工具機及零組件設備，對於展覽本

身具有相當大的加值作用。主辦方中華

民國對外貿易發展協會(TAITRA)負責

TIMTOS的承辦人員表示，以台北市貿

為中心起始的台北國際工具機展如今隨

著展覽規模不斷擴大，展場需求不斷增

加，已經由台北市貿向東延伸到南港展

覽館，也向西延伸到爭豔館，形成一個

TIMTOS展覽區黃金三角，以四大展覽

館容納不同的工具機次分類，讓有不同

需求的買主可以在展區內一次即對所需

產品做詳盡的比較，找到最適當的採購

方案。

在這個黃金三角內，包納了台北市

最精華的各式文化與藝術中心，特別

是隨召加入的爭豔館，展館本身除了

成為工具機展覽場地外，同時也提供更

為豐富多元的育樂功能，在與會來賓需

要飲食與休息時，可以一飽各式的臺灣

小吃、異國美食、特色商店、神農市場

與創意市集，為亞洲地區2015年最重要

的工具機展覽會增添了人文與藝術的元

電火花線切割線上測量的發展無需從機床取下即可在電火花加工前後對部件進行檢測和驗證。

航空航太和醫療器械領域都極努

力地推動電火花機（EDM）

線上測量的發展，原因在於這

些行業的工廠需要嚴格按照工藝認證要

求進行運作。在這個過程中，他們必須

記錄下包括電火花線切割在內的所有制

造及加工過程。

裝有雷尼紹探頭的阿奇夏米爾EDM機床

對於醫療器械製造廠，EDM線切割

可以滿足批量不斷變小、形狀日益複雜

的工件進行精確加工的需求，而航空製

造廠則採用EDM線切割切割大尺寸的重

型複雜部件。但是，將這些類型的工件

取下機床進行核對總和驗證顯著提高了

出錯的風險，因此延長了部件整個加工

週期。

EDM線切割機裝配了線上測量裝

置後，工廠可以在EDM加工前後進行

檢驗、確認部件，無需從機器上取下部

件。同樣，最近開發的EDM線切割機

接觸式探頭線上測量系統使得機床可以

讀出探頭資料、理解邏輯語句。這意味

著機床可以測量佈滿工作臺的經過切割

的零部件，標識出那些可以移除的處於

公差範圍內的零部件，還可以送回那些

需要重新切割，使之符合公差要求的部

件。另外，未來裝配了氣動夾頭夾持接

觸式探頭後，整個流程可以不需要操作

工的干預。

需要注意的是，實際上，通過利用

線電極材料的電脈衝，EDM線切割機一

直都能進行線上探測。但是，當機床利

用這種電極絲進行測量時，工廠只能進

行有限的測量，如找到中心、邊緣和角

落。這個過程不能標識壁的平直度或測

量部件的其他輪廓。

同樣，採用電極絲測量，探頭（電

極絲）和工件之間會存在一個縫隙，使

得接觸時能產生電火花。這種探測方式

的精度相當高（可達±0.0001"），但是

會有其他一些變數，如部件上的毛刺、

髒汙和其他可能落在電極絲和工件之間

的顆粒，使結果產生偏頗，從而造成讀

數誤差。

對於精密的工業加工，工廠主要採

用EDM線切割線上測量驗證工件的切割

正確性，並滿足關鍵部件輪廓參考點。

不幸的是，這種探測/測量水準不可能用

EDM電極線來作為探頭，主要原因在於

電極線只能測量部件輪廓的最高點。

另外，即便利用電極線探頭可以實

現這種先進的探測，但在航空和醫療領

域，都不能接受這種測量方法。主要是

因為當測量關鍵部件時，EDM電極線

產生的電脈衝/火花會在部件上形成印

記，從而影響部件的整體性。

另一方面，使用圓形藍寶石球這種

傳統探頭，接觸點會很細小，不會對工

件產生任何損害。而且，由於接觸點非

常細小，正好接觸到殘渣或障礙物的可

能性也非常低。

除了航空和醫療行業的嚴格要求

外，由於EDM電極絲探測的天然局限，

使得很多EDM製造商，包括阿奇夏米

爾，努力開發新的產品，將準確接觸的

探頭結合到EDM絲線切割工藝中。另

外，線上接觸式探測與傳統工具機甚至

是辛克型電火花成型加工相結合並沒有

任何新意，但是將其用到EDM線切割上

則是一種新的能力。完成任務所需的所

有單個技術元件都已經具備，但是需要

多年的開發才能準確地知道，如何才能

將這種探頭融入到EDM線切割中，進行

有效的線上接觸式測量。

EDM OEM製造商們克服了兩大障

礙。一個是機械方面的難題，即如何裝

配夾具，把探頭夾持在EDM頭部；在控

制方面，探頭的功能必須與機床的CNC系統整合。

EDM線切割機實際上一直是能夠進

行線上檢測，但是，當機床配有電極線

探頭時，工廠只能進行有限的測量，如

中心、邊緣和角落的測量。

機械挑戰

大多數EDM頭部的設計不能支撐很

大的重量，在頭部一側裝配實際的工具

夾具會產生不平衡，影響EDM線切割加

工。幸運的是，有些品牌如GF阿奇夏米

爾推出的EDM線切割機床，帶有很堅實

穩固的頭部，可裝配夾具，同時不會犧

牲機床性能。

機械方面的另一個難題是，需要能

夠伺服驅動Z軸，這在EDM線切割中並

不需要。線上接觸式測量需要機器可以

Z軸伺服驅動，這樣探頭可以往下測量

工件，結束後向上退出。但是，最重要

的是，這種方式可以沿著Z軸方向，對

任何點進行測量和記錄，測量壁厚即用

這種方式進行。

包括阿奇夏米爾在內的大多數EDM OEM廠商，都可以通過在設備上配置Z軸伺服驅動能力來解決這個難題。因為

許多這些廠商已經開發出辛克型EDM用

伺服驅動系統，對這些Z軸系統以及如

何使用探測器有了廣泛的瞭解。另外，

這些現有的知識也有助於將傳統測量技

術應用於EDM線切割機的CNC系統。

控制難題

線上接觸式測量技術要求EDM線切

割機的CNC系統有能力補償接觸式探針

與機器頭部兩個不同中心線的位置。業

內很多機器都有這種補償能力，因此也

就不成問題。

針對這一問題，阿奇夏米爾開發出

補償糾正功能。通俗而言，在標定後，

機器的控制系統能夠準確知道電火花絲

線中心線和X-Y軸線上探測器的中心位

置。在探測器進入位置進行測量時，控

制系統就可以對這個距離進行補償。

對於EDM線切割線上測量控制系統

而言，主要的挑戰是，設備對部件輪廓的

關鍵點進行測量時，缺乏特定的週期。

阿奇夏米爾的解決方案是，在機器

的控制系統內部採用巨集程式B程式設

計。這種程式命令機器按照規定的位置

移動，在X、Y、Z軸上進行測量，採集

原來與EDM線切割工藝不相關的關鍵點

的資料。

利用探測到的資料，機器可以數學

方程生成報告，驗證部件切割前實際定

位是否正確。報告同時顯示，在切割

後，所需測量部件關鍵點的尺寸或公差

符合要求。

巨集程式B程式設計使用了邏輯語

句，EDM線切割機的CNC可以讀出“如

果-那麼＂這樣的程式語句。如，如果特

定工件的幾乎尺寸還沒有按照規定切削

到位，CNC就會命令機器返回到那個部

位進行重新切割，直至達到規定要求。

這種系統內的高度邏輯不僅讓使用

者瞭解到部件已經按照規定尺寸切削完

畢，可以移除，而且機器還可以按照測

量的資料進行自我修正。機器的這種能

力堪稱為最重大的成就，對“無人＂生

產將產生重大影響，並會持續推動EDM

線切割線上測量需求的發展。

自動接觸測量

目前，機械夾具一般由人工安裝，

用以夾持EDM線切割機的線上測量探

頭。但是，採用了氣動卡盤後，可採用

機器人更換工具，將探測器自動裝卸到

EDM線切割機上。

現今大多數工廠都會安排工人進行

部件審核。一名機器操作工將裝上探測

器，測量部件，取下探測器，啟動開車

按鈕，繼續切割。切割後，再裝上探

測器，運行巨集程式B程式設計，對部

件的關鍵點進行測量。然後機器會標識

出，哪些部件符合規格要求，哪些需要

再次切割。

就技術而言，完成無人EDM線切割

工作，包括自動線上進行常規測量在內的

所需元件都已成為具備。但是，目前還很

少有行業需要達到那種先進的水準。

光學：另一種方法

除了接觸式測量，還有其他線上測

量方法。如光學系統。它不“接觸＂部

件，而是記錄部件的圖像，進行檢驗。

這樣的系統對於精密製造領域需要測量

精細部位的部件特別有利。

採用阿奇夏米爾的光學系統後，製

造廠商可以方便快捷地測量部件。在

光學器系統前，配置了那種非常複雜

精細的夾具，用來夾住部件，進行準確

測量。另外，還需要確定部件的位置，

而採用EDM電極絲測量會比實際切割

部件所花費的時間更長。舉例來說，如

果切割花費了3小時，測量可能需要10小時。而採用了光學系統後，一瞬間的

圖像就可以標識清楚部件的軸向度、中

心、切割起始點。

不管是光學系統，還是機械系統，

都有各自的優點。光學系統可以快速測

量已經切割好的部件（300點/秒），而

探頭測量方法則需要實際移動並接觸到

那些測量點。但是，探頭測量方法可以

測量部件頂部、中部和底部的腔。光學

系統只能記錄部件的二維圖像，不能測

量諸如有角度的側壁等部位。

兩國其中一項主要的優勢，在於能把微

技術融入應用到產品裡頭，而光子技術

就是最佳例子。我認為兩國在這方面的

成就，部分得歸功於大量的政府補助，

以及對大學教育等方面的充足投資。

越南、印尼和泰國雖然擁有大量的

廉價勞動力，不過，憑藉低廉勞力、缺

乏創新的舊發展模式，已經到了必須摒

棄革新的時候了。鑒於三國政府已經擬

定必要的政策來推動高價值的生產，我

帶來翻天覆地的變化，而不僅僅止於以

科技革新整合創造新的行業範式。整個

製造業很快就能看到寂寂無名的企業和

品牌進入市場，提供全面的終端到終端

資訊通信科技方案。行內企業必須採取

合資、合作、協作，以及生態系統等策

略進入市場，才能保持競爭力。

終端使用者（不是最終的消費者）

的觀點 – 我認為，行業的消極心態，是

邁向工業4.0的最大障礙。大部分的企

業都不願改變、甚至不願嘗試新策略，

長期而言，這將不利於企業競爭力和生

存。此外，提高行業的危機意識、拉近

技術差距，也是當務之急。

汽機車相關應用成型機專家逸陞機械(YSM)

專注應用，健椿新型內藏式主軸MVB1318A

位處彰化的健椿公司，專門生產皮

帶與直結式主軸，因交期迅速，品質穩

定，產品廣受綜合加工中心機製造商所

間進行切削加工之工作。主軸馬達功率

達25KW，轉速18000RPM，採用二面拘

束刀把系統，可通用在立式加工中心機

及中小型龍門加工機。

董事長葉橫燦先生說到，健椿公司

專注品質，產線改造

健椿產品能有優異的應用，主軸規

劃能力是關鍵。規劃的源頭，來自對

自身產品線的高度調控能力。公司業

務經理表示，為達自主品管，現在健椿

除了提升精加工及建置設備，同時與協

力廠密切配合。健椿當下透過擴廠，讓

公司能有建構完整產線的能力，在彰濱

工業區內，健椿另有一個廠房土地，面

積近50,000平方公尺，在2015年即進入

投產。未來預期可提高產能達100%以

上，即每月3,000套主軸的產出能力。

健椿人員培訓

自從美國開始號召製造業回流，台

美市場對健椿主軸產品需求連年增加，

公司目前須以早及夜班全天生產才能因

應滿檔的訂單量。為因應緊迫的製造節

奏，公司對新進人員培訓有極高標準。

現場人員的培訓並不簡單，因為健椿廣

納各路背景員工，人員來到健椿以後，

主管先以基礎圖面識圖能力和銑削加工

之訓練初步培訓，在健椿公司的要求

下，一個新進人員要花三年左右才能成

為認可的技術員。到2014年，公司全部

員工已成長到120人，平均年齡35歲。

除了內部訓練，健椿與國家級產業

研究中心合作，提升自身能量。台中的

財團法人精密機械研究發展中心(PMC)為公司進行內部人員教育訓練。PMC是由政府所設立，旨在提高整體金屬加工

產業從業人員水準的機構，內有專業的

研究員為民間企業提供各式各樣的企業

解決方案，在與健椿的合作上，自PMC派出的講師會對健椿現場人員進行機械

與主軸知識教育。

未來計畫

除了高度的國內市佔比，在健椿的

國外市場表現也成長中，在俄羅斯、

印度與瑞士的市場站穩腳步，在美洲

的2014年度更是穩定成長，未來對於

海外市場，公司將會積極參與主要展

覽會，並與當地經銷商合作，把好產

品外銷到全球有加工需求的地方。同

時，迎接訂單成長與外銷比重增加，

健椿董事長不但在產線佈置上將整體

生產力提高，也在產線規劃上將產線

拉回廠內。未來的計畫是待兩者確穩

妥後，進行上市上櫃。朝向公司全面

性改造升級，健椿準備好更多的生產

能量，搭配組織再造，在智慧製造已

來臨的時代，帶領市場脈動。

鍵和圓筒磨床行銷全球，帶動區域經濟繁榮

台中是精密機械故鄉，在中部金屬

加工聚落內，每月生產數千台工具機

設備外銷。由於有聚落效應，臺灣工

具機的主機廠能將多數零組件外包專業

廠商，以更競爭力的水準與價格在全球

市場激烈的戰場中得勝。在台中工業區

內，鍵和就是一家以部份委外，關鍵組

件廠內精製的成功方式行銷全球的磨床

設備專家。鍵和的成功，道出了臺灣模

式的特點與優勢。

鍵和台中廠區有120多人，廠內生

產的無心、圓筒、內孔、中心孔、雙主

軸等設備零組件皆採外包方式，僅在內

部完成產品設計與後段的精加工和完成

組裝，其他的中段皆委外。透過定期派

員前往衛星廠進行輔導與查驗，鍵和管

理階層成功調整內外產線的生產頻率，

達到最適狀態。

在後段自主廠內研磨加工部份，鍵

和磨床的主軸仰賴自主研磨技術，在精

車後於廠內進行深冷處理，之後進行精

研磨。公司國外業務部經理李慰玉先生

(Sales Manager of Export Dept. Mr. William

Lee)受訪時指出，因為鍵和所生產的磨

床其主軸的表面硬度高達HRC62 以上

的水準，所以一般外包廠商需要以兩倍

或更久的時間做研磨加工，若欲縮短研

磨時間極容易發生心軸脆裂的情形。因

此，鍵和以自行所生產的設備於廠內自

行加工研磨所需的主軸，以百分之一百

確保主軸的品質控管。

鍵和所生產的無心磨床，機種

多，量產及批量皆適合，在2014年，

中國大陸與東協地區的無心磨床銷量

都非常好。2014年自7月開始平均一個

月的總出貨量約有40台，大宗佔比則

以無心居多，另外在東協部份，2014

年較2013年更是有顯著的成長，達

到30%的成長，因為印尼地區的產業

成長，鍵和的高性能產品在印尼地區

廣受歡迎，在使用端多以汽車與機車

為最大部份，且以日系汽、機車等零

配件應用居多。另外在中亞的巴基斯

坦，2014年有很好的斬獲，不論是內

孔研磨設備、無心研磨設備，還是圓

筒磨床等等都廣受工業用品加工業者

的青睞。美國市場部份，鍵和的研磨

設備則受到需要高精度產品的研磨加

工廠商的信賴，以鍵和產品來生產高

精密的零件設備。總的來說，全球市

場都是鍵和的產品幅射範圍，李經理

如是說。

同時降低成本，裝載自動化配件後，可

以達到無人加工的自動生產線。近期所

推出的HX-504 Cell彈性製造單元(FMC)

與MF400 Cell五面加工彈性製造單元

(FMC)，是順應當今市場的設計，隨著

歐洲整體製造業將量產市場外移，僅保

留少量多樣的生產型態，在此生產格局

下歐洲用戶期待彈性生產、省人化或夜

間無人化的生產模式能達到即時供貨、

縮短交期、減少庫存、降低成本來滿足

客戶需求。

具有服務精神的製造業：百德中瑞技術中心為本地化加分

從早期的製造生產，百德公司就成

功在歐洲打通市場，但是成功的銷售需

要完善且快速的售服系統，才能在遇到

問題時給予即時協助。早期百德公司為

達到此一目標，都將零件以空運從臺灣

寄送。廖總經理表示，雖然當時採取的

空運方式相當耗本，但公司本著服務熱

忱為歐洲客戶建置即時的支援系統，成

功建立商譽。到2007年，當時西歐地區

國家皆有百德代理商，百德於是在歐洲

的瑞士設立技術服務中心。此後不單是

在售服零件上有更好的效率，也令百德

俱備了與歐洲同業一樣的在地化優勢。

百德在中國大陸的昆山服務中心，

也同樣發揮著很大的效益，目前中國

市場佔了百德公司產品的11%消費量，

雖然相比歐洲市場的67%尚有差距，但

是百德著眼於中國市場的規模與未來。

昆山中心與瑞士中心一樣，都有機台展

示、庫存零件與技術人員駐點。

場，面對2015，鍵和將會多參與國際展

覽並配合當地經銷系統，將鍵和的高精

OTT HSK-A63拉桿系統，搭配自行研

冷卻功能，同時有效抑制軸心熱變位的

問題。軸承採用油氣潤滑，可長時間

進行切削加工工作，主軸馬達功率達

25KW，轉速18,000RPM，採用二面拘

束刀把系統，可通用在立式加工中心機

及中小型龍門加工機。

捷運松山線由西至東一路玩到2014年底通車的捷運松山線，總長 8.5 公里，共 8 站，於中山、松江南京、南京復興站，分別與淡水信義線、中和新蘆線、文湖線交會轉乘。尤其是從西門站至松山站，約 15 分鐘，可快速由西到東盡情享受購物、大啖美食、看表演、欣賞站體公共藝術與古蹟等樂趣。今天為大家介紹北門站、台北小巨蛋、南京三民站、松山站等，與鄰近吃喝買玩的好去處，讓你在參觀TIMTOS之於，搭捷運由西至東一路玩到 High。

休閒娛樂

搭乘捷運來到台北小巨蛋站，可在電扶梯長廊欣賞到公共藝術作品「啟動密碼」，以台北小巨蛋周邊運動歷史的地域文化特質為題材，透過摩爾動畫原理，用機械裝置將平面剪影圖像，還原成栩栩如生的動態影像。此外，2 號出入口，為呼應一旁的台北小巨蛋，特別以四分之一仿小巨蛋建築，採白色塗裝與透明背板，白色圓弧造型呈現；4 號出入口則以小巨蛋的剖面造型，以透明背板、白色混凝土牆，30 塊 3D 弧形玻璃板呈現，時尚感十足。周邊除綠意盎然的敦化北路及公共藝術，還有台北小巨蛋可體驗溜冰、欣賞知名藝人演唱會、體育競賽等活動。此外，可順遊至附近的微風南京店、精品服飾店等購物、品嘗美食及到城市舞臺欣賞藝文表演。

史蹟、商圈漫遊

搭乘捷運來到北門站，一走進站內即可看到以「傳奇 - 翻閱城市的記憶」為主題的展示，像是牆面上介紹北門的歷史，還有將站內清朝臺灣巡撫劉銘傳建設的機械局遺址，在地面上設計 12 個遺構展示坑，展示施工時挖掘出來的器物，包括酒瓶、瓷碗等近代遺物，還有四進衙門結構、清代紅磚水道、機器局東牆等，將北門站打造得宛如小型博物館，十分吸睛。出站後，可欣賞周圍的北門（承恩門）、臺北郵局、撫臺街洋樓等古蹟，也可至重慶南路書街、北門相機商圈、華陰街商圈等購買書籍、相機、平價皮件、飾品等；此外，可以逛逛延平北路周邊的飾品 DIY 材料行，或是到天水路百年老店「金春發牛肉店」，品嘗臺北老味道。

伴手禮　美食特蒐

搭乘捷運來到南京三民站，可於站內欣賞到以陶板、窯燒玻璃等創作出的四面磚牆，設計者以社區門戶及都市玄關為創作主題，營造出站內濃濃藝文氣息。走出站外，可至周圍知名店家品嘗美食，或購買伴手禮。如佳德糕餅、雪花齋、千翔食品、春水堂人文茶館、王品牛排、聯一台塑牛排創始店等；想體驗小吃滋味，還可至南京東路 5 段巷弄間的陳家涼麵、大老二美食店等大啖美食。飽餐後，可步行約 15 分鐘至周圍京華城購物，或至臺北偶戲館欣賞戲偶展覽，也可在南京三民路口站轉搭 604 公車於三民路站下車即可抵達民生社區，一邊悠遊在富錦街、新中街等綠意盎然的巷弄，一邊探索個性生活用品店家。

逛街購物品小吃

搭乘捷運來到松山站，可在內部通往臺鐵松山車站的穿堂大廳，欣賞到〈河流彎曲之處，域見繁花光穹〉公共藝術，以 5 萬多顆 LED 燈與水晶玻璃打造的大型光雕，高低垂直錯落，猶如松山河灣意境，未亮燈時宛如一朵白雲，每日整點與二十四節氣當日燈光亮起時，繽紛的色彩光影變化，好似基隆河面閃閃的波光，十分夢幻迷人。此外，臺鐵松山車站 1 至 2 樓有各式美味餐廳、伴手禮店、日用品店，供遊客品美食、購物。走出站外，可順遊到周邊的五分埔商圈，購買價格實惠的流行服飾，傍晚可到附近的饒河街觀光夜市，品嘗藥燉排骨、麻油雞、異國小吃外，也可以租借 YouBike微笑單車，乘著晚風在河濱悠游，或靜靜坐在河邊欣賞彩虹橋及基隆河畔的美麗夜色。
