Stamp Crazy Easter projectTutor: Sam BakerCost: £10 Details: Expert crafter Sam Baker will guide you through the more technical side of creating stunning cards. With a lovely project planned for each session you will achieve a great piece by the end of each session. Get that perfect finish with her hints, tips & skill sheets.

Booking Information: All classes include the materials, products & equipment for the designated project being taught

unless specified. If a class lasts all day then a delicious lunch is always included within the price at a local café.

Please inform us on your booking sheet if you have any special dietary requirements. All classes have refreshments included.

Any new student is required to complete a registration, this allows us to retain your contact information regarding the class in case of emergency.

Bookings must include a 50% non-refundable deposit and we ask that the full balance must be paid at least a week prior to the scheduled class. We can take payments by card over the phone or in the shop via cash or card – we do not take cheques.

Refunds will only be given at our discretion according to circumstances and only when we are suitably informed prior to the class. If we are successful in filling your place following a cancellation then a full refund will be issued.

If a class is fully booked we will take reserve bookings which will be treated in a “first come, first served” basis.

We are able to run private classes in a variety of crafts – great for birthdays, hen parties, work events or just for a group of friends to catch up! Please feel free to contact us to discuss your requirements and we will endeavour to help.

JAnuary Workshops 2018 Games workshop “Paint like a Pro” session 5 will be on January 12th 6pm-8pm. Art, crochet, paper-craft, sew’n’sew, allsorts & atmospheric watercolour classes will all resume

from January 9th continuing throughout the month (please see pervious page). We have private bookings 13th & 20th January.

CLASS: Premature Baby HatsDate: Every Tuesday in January 2-4pmTutor: Dee SemmonsCost: FREE Details: Knit or crochet baby hats for charity in this FREE craft session. We will supply the patterns and refreshments. Dee will be on hand to help and guide you with the hats where needed. We also have hooks and needles available to use if necessary but ask you to purchase or supply your own wool please (suitable wool is available in the shop).

CLASS: Beginners Crochet a Myboshi Beanie HatDate: Saturday January 27th 10-12amTutor: Sam HewlettCost: £15Details: For absolute beginners who would like to try their hand at crochet. Choose 3 balls of wool from our Myboshi stock and get hooking. We will provide the hooks, stitch holders, pattern and tuition for you to create your own warm, woolly beanie hat! This is a fun and informal class that will get you started with crochet. (NB not everyone will achieve the entire hat within the time but everything will be supplied to finish it at home)

A new term of Art Workshop will begin February 27th/28th for 6 weeks. Sew’n’sew &“The allsorts gang” will run on 8th, 15th & 22nd February. Games workshop “Paint like a Pro” session 6 = February 2th 6pm-8pm.

CLASS: Powertex Fairies and SculpturesDate: Saturday 3rd February10am – 4pmTutor: Clare RichardsCost: £40Details: Starting with basic materials, create a armature and wings to act as a base on which to drape your fabric. Using Powertex to stiffen your fabric build up layers of texture and secure a plaster head. After lunch you will be taught dry-brushing techniques to bring your sculpture to life. Be prepared for a messy and fun day!

CLASS: Bead WeavingDate: Saturday 10th and/or 24th Feb 10am-12Tutor: Jane SeftonCost: £7 per sessionDetails: Learn about the beautiful craft of bead weaving to create unique pieces of jewellery for yourself or as a gift. Choose from different designs, bead shapes & colour to compliment any outfit or taste. Products and equipment are not supplied within the cost, however, it’s all available to purchase at competitive prices on the day.

CLASS: Mosaic Glass TilesDates: Saturday 10th February 1:30pm-4pm Tutor: Pamela SalmonCost: £20Details: Choose your colours and design before embarking on this creative journey to produce a stunning glass mosaic tile suitable for indoors or out in the garden. Pamela will guide you step-by-step to achieve a lovely piece to be proud of.

CLASS: 3d Needle Felted ChickensDate: Monday 12th February 10am-4pmTutor: Lorraine TilsleyCost: £40 Details: Whether you are new to needle felting or already have some experience, this will prove to be a fun and informative day. Create the base of your chicken using core wool and then get as funky as you like when deciding on the colour, pattern and texture to finish your own chicken design!

CLASS: Warhammer Junior Paint SessionDate: Tuesday 13th February 1:30-4pmTutor: Stuart ThomasCost: £12 Details: Aimed at youngsters approx. aged 8 to 14 this will be a great session for improving on their painting skills. Creating space marines with Stuart step-by-step you will learn painting techniques such as washes, dry brushing and metal effects.

CLASS: Children’s personalized Cross stitch BookmarksDate: Friday February 16th 1-3pmTutor: Julie CaiseyCost: £10 (proceeds go to our Wyndham House Residents)Details: A great children’s class producing their very own stitched bookmark which will say “SSSHHHH…(name) is reading!”. They can choose their own colours and learn how to cross stitch with step-by-step guidance from Julie. This is a lovely introduction to basic sewing skills for children aged 7 – 12 approximately.

CLASS: Sugar Craft Traditional RosesDate: Saturday February 17th 10am-4pmTutor: Rachel Sagrott

Cost: £50Details: With expert help from Rachel create traditional English roses which will look stunning on any cake! Rachel will guide you through every step so that you can truly achieve the delicate petals and subtle colours associated with these flowers. All you need to bring is some oasis for transport.

CLASS: Acrylic Painted Trinket BoxDate: Saturday February 24th 2-4pmTutor: Chrissie WatsonCost: £15Details: Using Acrylic paints learn stippling, shading and stroke work techniques to create coasters with a lovely topiary design or use your design to create a special greetings card. Chrissie’s classes always have a lovely, relaxed atmosphere giving you a little arty escape for the afternoon! Suitable for beginners or those looking to improve their skills.

March Workshops 2018 CLASS: The art of InkDate: Friday 2nd March 1-3pm & 6-8pmTutor: Jessamy K from Jinks ArtCost: £15 per sessionDetails: Try your hand at drawing with a dip pen and inks. Learn how to use washes to create depth and shadows to your work. Experiment with ink and water to allow natural effects that will add interest and unpredictability in your picture. CLASS: Stained glass mirrorsDate: Saturday 3rd March 10am-4pmTutor: Lani Shepherd from “glorious glass”Cost: £40 per sessionDetails: Learn to use hot solder to bind together pieces of coloured glass whilst creating a unique mirror frame. Your finished piece will be approximately A4 in size and is bound to become a feature in any home. Step-by-step instruction will be given but due to hot equipment, this class is not suitable for anyone under the age of 14.

CLASS: Crochet/knit charity blankets for dogs Date: Every Tuesday through March 2-4pmTutor: Dee SemmensCost: FREEDetails: Join Dee on her next charitable event creating fun and colourful blankets for rescue dogs using wool donations and left-overs. Bring along your hooks or needles and we’ll supply the wool. Enjoy a chat, a cuppa and do something kind at the same time!

CLASS: GWS Paint like a Pro Term 2Date: Fridays 6-8pm (9th March, 13th April, 11th May, 8th June & 13th July)Tutor: Stuart ThomasCost: £50 for the courseDetails: Follow Stuart’s expert tuition to really up-your-game when painting the detailed miniatures from Games Workshop (Warhammer & 40k). Different painting techniques will be covered from washes, metal work, wood effect, texture, shadow, etc. These have proven to be very popular and informative – a must for anyone who enjoys Warhammer or 40k!

CLASS: Highland Cows Powertex projectDate: Friday 16th & 23rd 1-4pm Tutor: Clare RichardsCost: £40 for both sessionsDetails: Session 1: Create an armature using wire, tape, polystyrene and string, adding horns and facial details. Session 2: drape with Powertex covered fabric, dry and paint to finish your project. This will be a busy and fun class resulting in a truly unique herd of cattle!

CLASS: A day of Pastel artDate: Saturday 17th 10am-4pmTutor: Laurence Brown Cost: £40Details: Study the techniques used to achieve wonderful results using pastels. Spend the morning practicing a variety of skills needed to create shape, shadow, texture and depth following Laurence’s instructions. After a delicious lunch, enjoy spending the afternoon producing your own work of art using the methods that have been covered in the morning.

CLASS: Encaustic ArtDate: Saturday 24th March 2-4pm Tutor: Lorraine DaviesCost: £10Details: Try your hand at this truly unique form of art. Using an iron, coloured waxes and special paper create landscapes and scenes that have a glossy, rich finish to them. Lorraine will guide you through the simple steps of applying the wax and how to manipulate it into place producing a different design every time.

CLASS: Needle felted 3d EggsDate: Monday 26th 10am-2pm Tutor: Lorraine TilsleyCost: £20Details: Whether you are new to needle felting or already have some experience, this will prove to be a fun and informative day. Create the egg shape base using core wool and then get as funky as you like when deciding on the colour, pattern and texture to finish your very own Easter egg design!

CLASS: Beginners wire wrapped bangleDate: Friday 30th March 1-3pmTutor: Debbie Brannen from Exmoor artsCost: £17Details: Create a beautiful silver bangle with an Abalone stone using basic wire wrapping techniques following Debbie’s step-by-step instruction. A great gift or treat for yourself!
