AhugewelcomebacktoallofthechildreninKS2followingthesummerbreak.It’sbeenlovelytoseethechildrensettlingintotheirnewclasses,thechildrenaregettingstuckintotheirexcitingnewtopics.Year3arelearningaboutFairTrade,thinkingaboutwhereourproductscomefrom,whomakesthemandourroleinthecycleofconsumption.ThechildreninYear4havebeguntheirnewtopiconExtremeWeatherandhavestartedreadingthehighlyacclaimednovel‘TheExplorer’writtenbyKatherineRundelltosupporttheirthinking.InYear5we’vebegunournewtermwiththeVikings;weretheyviciousraidersorpeacefulsettlers?AndhowdidtheychangeBritainforever?Lastbutbynomeansleast,ournewYear6classareexploringpartofournewhumanitiescurriculum,withaprojectongeographic-ieldwork.PleaseremembertolookoutforweeklyspellingsandhelpyourchildrenpreparefortheirquiznextFriday.Here’swishingeveryoneasuccessful-irstterm,ifyouhaveanyquestionspleasedon’thesitatetogetintouchwithyourchild’sclassteacher.LeoWallace

Welcomeback!We'vebeenhavingabusy-irstcoupleofweekssettlingintoournewclassesandgettingtoknowourteachersinphase1.Thechildrenhavebeeneagerlyexploringtheirnewsettings-Year1haveenjoyedhavingamorningandafternoonbreakinthe
