AT&T IOT Library (for RTD) MX786201A-33 September 24, 2007 Page 1 AT&T IOT Libraries (for RTD) MX786201A-33 (Includes MX786201A-31 Release 1 and MX786201A-34 Release 2) The AT&T IOT Libraries consists of a selection of tests that are taken from the AT&T UE acceptance documents and may be mapped to the tests required in this document. It is based on an Anritsu multi- cell network model based on AT&T’s Network description. It will be used to ensure that UEs proposed for AT&T will meet their requirements before deployment. The Libraries can also be extended and modified to provide a fast and highly efficient method of producing customized tests for debugging of Band II UEs. This network model provides a quick entry point to test creation and .provides broad coverage of interoperability for Band II UMTS to GSM 850 tests. These tests are annotated, enabling easy identification of logical and functional blocks so that they may be re-used by “cutting and pasting” into a new test if required. The graphical layout of each test makes it straightforward to visualize the test flow and hence verify and debug the UE’s behavior. The library is provided with manuals including RTD test specification and execution. Library usage is supported by Anritsu. The specification details the RTD environment and is an application note in its own right which contains concise information on how to evaluate test results. The tests demonstrate how features of the RTD can be incorporated into a users own test. The library has been proven with Anritsu equipment against UEs made available by AT&T (which may not pass all tests as this depends on UE functionality). Many of the tests can be run from a single key press and if AT commands are supported by the UE, a fully automatic test campaign is possible. This makes regression testing simple and by using the Criteria editor within the RTD tool, all results are given a preliminary judgment. The criteria may be changed at any stage to allow very fast result management and report generation without having to re-run the tests. Using the Result criteria to quickly focus in on specific failure causes can lead to greater efficiency. The library currently includes 269 RTD tests that cover a range of needs. The intention is to populate the libraries with approximately 300 test cases by the end of 2008 and continue development throughout 2008 to cover more sections of the AT&T requirements. Test sections on which Anritsu is producing future tests are as follows: UMTS AMR Support – 36 Network Selection – 42 2G PS Data – 3 RAB/Multi RAB/SRB – 20 RRC & IRAT – 21 UMTS Functional – 4 HSPA Functional – 33 Call Processing – 125 Alternative tests – 27 Note 1. AT&T IOT Libraries (for RTD) MX786201A-33 (Includes MX786201A-31 Release 1 and MX786201A-34 Release 2) The AT&T IOT Libraries consists of a selection of tests that are taken from the AT&T UE acceptance documents and may be mapped to the tests required in this document. It is based on an Anritsu multi-cell network model based on AT&T’s Network description.
