GETTING STARTEDPrior to starting the control panel, check all mechanical connections (refrigerant piping, condenser water, drain line and humidifi er supply water) ensuring all have been completed and checked.

Check the high voltage power supply. Verify it has been connected to the unit.

PROCESSOR START-UP• Open the panel, remove the protective paper from the battery and ensure

manual override switch for power is set to the “ON” position, see page 4.• Press the power “ON” button to energize the panel.• The panel will proceed through an automatic diagnostic self-test.• If there is a failure during the self-test, the display will stop scrolling and only the

message with the failure will be displayed. On any self-test failure, simply press the SELECT to bypass the “FAIL” message.

• On initial start-up it is not unusual to fail the RAM SIGNATURE test because there is no stored data available.

• Once the self-test is complete, the timed START DELAY will be displayed (the start delay is programmable through Menu Group 3, Sub-Menu 3-4 in fi ve sec-ond intervals to minimize the in rush current with multiple units).

• After the start delay is complete, the unit will start and be in normal operating mode. The blower will start upon completion of the timed start delay.

• The cooling, reheat, humidifi er and dehumidifi cation functions are inhibited for one (1) minute after the blower starts. This allows the temperature and humidity sensors time to adjust.

MENU SELECTIONSMenus are grouped in the DAP III from 1 to 10. Within each menu grouping there are submenus. The grouping are:

1-STATUS & HISTORY 4-ALARMS 7-CALIBRATION 10-ANALOG2-SETPOINTS 5-CONFIGURATION 8-SET-BACK3-OPERATION 6-NETWORK 9-DIAGNOSTIC

(Menu 8 only displays when the unit is in RFM mode and menu 10 only displays if there is an ana-log module connected.)

To scroll among the menu groups use the MENU . Each menu grouping has submenus. To access these submenus for a group use the SELECT or .

Continuing to press the SELECT or will allow you to scroll through all the sub-menu’s options. Press MENU to see the next submenu.

To leave a menu or submenu, simply push the EXIT button and the processor will return to the operational mode. To go from menu to menu, push the MENU or .

The DAP-III is password protected. Entering menu Group 2 and greater requires a pass-word (units are shipped from the factory with the password set at 00).

Advance to Menu Group 2 – Press MENU . If password has been entered through sub menu 5-2, the display will read: PASSWORD: 00

If a password has been entered and is unknown, push the SELECT button until 40 is reached. This will allow viewing access to Menu Groups 2 – 10.

Menu Groups 2 – 5 are programmable. By pushing the SELECT or button, selec-tions may be made and viewed.

Press the SELECT to display current temperature setpoint.

Press the SELECT or and the temperature setpoint will change in 1o increments.

Once the desired value is displayed, push MENU button to display the next sub-menu. Follow the same procedure to view and/or change values in the sub menu.

To return to Group Menus, press EXIT. Press EXIT again to return to operational mode and status display or press MENU button to advance to GROUP 3 – OPERATION.

Note: Each time a MENU or button is pressed it will advance to the next menu or selection. If the button is held down it will advance at a rapid rate. If there is no button activity for three (3) minutes, the panel will return to its normal operating mode.

Menu Groups 5 and 6 are locked as is sub menu 4-24. No changes can be made until unlocked. Refer to DAP-III Operation Manual or Data Aire’s technical assistance (800-347-2473) if these menus require opening.

SENSORS

Temperature and humidity sensors are factory calibrated and the offset is recorded. Each sensor is tagged with the calibration offset. This should be verifi ed with the set-tings in Group 7 - CALIBRATION
