ALL BIDDERS SHALL NOTE THE FOLLOWING CHANGES, MODIFICATIONS OR ADDITIONS TO THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND SUBMIT QUOTATIONS IN ACCORDANCE THEREWITH: Addendum No. 2 shall be attached and made a part of the above referenced project dated February 17, 2017. Bidders are to acknowledge receipt of this Addendum No. 2 on the Bid Form. General Clarifications The following General Clarifications apply:
1. Walls to be removed: A102,A103 – see attached additional drawing “ADD 105 Walls Plans”
2. Specification for repair/patch vertical concrete surfaces per note 1, A203 “cracks in steps, step walls, concrete foundation wall” Polymer modified structural concrete repair shall conform to ASTM C109/C109m standard test method for compressive strength of hydraulic cement mortars (using 2-in. or [50-mm] cube specimens). Deep repairs: add manuf’s specified aggregates for extension. Provide finish equal to surrounding material: Basis of design: Quikrete Modified structural Repair.
3. Bulletin Board Cork: 3-ply Corkboard with 1/8" premium cork veneer adhered to BIN
Softboard with a backing sheet.” Cork has ½” nominal thickness, push pins will be able
to insert to their base. Basis of Design: “Richwood Tackable Solutions”

Church and Duplexes: L-2: The remaining vanities Church are L-2 designated as are half baths @ Duplexes: Provide wall mount Vitreous china vanities with oval basins, overflow, Single faucet hole. 22" (559 mm) x 18" (457 mm) basin. Accessories: Angle Supply with Stop & P Trap and manufacturer’s ADA sink Shroud. Sink shall conform to: ASME A112.19.2/CSA B45.1 ADA ICC/ANSI A117.1
Basis of design: ‘KOHLER’ “Pinoir®” Wall-mount Bathroom Sink K-2035-1 Duplex L-1: Vitreous China undermount with Diameter: 10-5/8" Water depth: 4-3/4" 1-
3/4" Spout must be a minimum of 4-1/2". ASME A112.19.2/CSA B45.1, ICC/ANSI A117.1. Basis of Desigh ‘Kohler’ – “Compass Bathroom Sink”: K 2298.
8. Solid Surfacing: a. Locations: Solid Surfacing at Kitchens ( shelves and counters) and Vanity L-1. Provide counters and vanities with integral splash cove transition to counter. ( 4” splash at vanity, as drawn at kitchens) surfaces shall finish seamless. b. Material Specification: General: “Solid Surface” is a manufactured material composed of particles such as marble dust, bauxite, acrylic, epoxy, polyester resins and pigments. Solid Surfaces are non porous and shall conform to ISSFA-2-01 (2007) Acceptable manufacturer’s are: Avonite, DuPont Surfaces (Corian, Zodiaq), Blume’s Solid Surface, Formica, Polymon, Solid Surface Products, Wilsonart, Wicor Solid Surfaces, NBC Solid Surfaces, International Paper Products Division. c. Counter top edges shall be finished with eased edges top and bottom. Provide substrate as indicated in drawings and complying with manufacturer’s recommendations based on solid surface thickness and spans. 9. Insulation: see attached specification. Provide R-40 per drawings.
10. Attic access walk: see attached revised drawing A 104. Connect access door to mech.

Project Manual The following sections of the Project Manual are hereby modified as follows:
SECTION 07200 - INSULATION DELETE SECTION 07200, ADD the attached SECTION 07200 – INSULATION Descriptive Modifications to the Drawings Sledd Memorial Church A 101. ADA Unit 4: Uncover blocked up window in location indicated and provide site
built window per sketch.
BEDROOM 124- door is exposed on exterior – pnt. Treat glazed portion as if existing
fixed window. Frame out opening in interior framed infill and surround with gwb jamb
and head. BEDROOM 107 – leave windows closed up on both sides.
A 101,102,103, Stairs: Remove ad hoc walls and doors complete, recover railings and
hidden stair components, restore to function and finish equal to existing unaltered
components.
A 102, KITCHEN 206 , flooring to remain, and proposed: Ceramic tile/wood floor – where wood floors are non existent or can not be recovered provide engineered laminate wood floor flush with existing in space to remain. Floor shall be 4-5” pillowed edge ‘plank’s of varied lengths with light natural ‘half gloss’ proprietary finish – i.e. Acacia, Maple, Poplar, Hickory, species. Planks are ½” thick. Glue down over manufacturer’s required substrate materials and preparations. Basis of design: ‘Armstrong 4.72”

Broken Window old sanctuary: Provide $2000.00 dollar repair allowance for bidding purposes. Field verify condition and repair per allowance and owner’s disposition. Provide discount for completion of repair less than allowance. Provide revised estimate for work owner is disposed to which exceeds allowance and follow change order procedure as may be required.
A 203, Note #7 ADD the following: The extent of the estimated area for brick pointing is 850 sf. Misc. Items: tack boards, case work, etc. Retain or dispose of according to owner’s disposition. Printing issues: We have test printed the latest version of all drawings in question through
different printers and from cadd as well as pdf source formats and they are legible in all
instances.
Elevator Pit Ladder: One piece code compliant pit ladder- solid steel rails rebar rungs 5/8”
diameter, inserted into 3/8" x 2" sides and welded. Ladders painted with yellow industrial
enamel secured to pit wall with wall brackets bolted to ladder sides and secured to floor with
floor brackets welded to ladder sides. Dims: 12.75"W x 8'L – basis of design: Quality Elevator
Products Model PL8. www.qualityelev.com Locate per Elevator’s manuf’s requirements.
Mail boxes: specification: 9-door 4C Standard Mailbox unit, heavy gauge aluminum, with
stainless steel components, one parcel locker for delivery and storage of larger parcels. Powder
coat finish, riveted shelves, concealed hinges. Each tenant door meets compartment
minimum size requirement of 3"H x 12"W x 15"D, unit meets the USPS requirement for 1:10
parcel locker to tenant compartment ratio, and USPS 4C requirements complies with ADA
standards. Silver powder coat finish. Basis of design: ‘Postal Products Unlimited’ E-series

Electrical questions - Sledd Memorial Church 1. Will electrical on the existing exterior walls of the church be surface mounted or recessed in the existing masonry wall? SURFACE MOUNT 2. The panel schedule for the duplexes on E102 does not include a circuit for the dryers. Please advise. ADD 20A/2P CIRCUIT BREAKER WITH #10 WIRE TO RECEPTACLE. 3. On drawing E100 the meters for the duplexes is indicated on the side of the structure. On drawing E103 the one-line diagram notes that these are existing to remain. On one of the existing buildings the meter base is installed on the front of the building. Please advise. CHANGE NOTE 1 ON E 103 TO READ “NEW UTILITY METER” 4. On In the church building, panel H is shown in two different locations. One is on the ground floor in the room near the meter center. The other is on the second floor plan in the closet beside the laundry room. Please advise. PANEL H TO BE ON GROUND FLOOR NOT SECOND. 5. Are communication systems and associated wiring part of the electrical scope of work or by owner? If in electrical, see below. Please advise. OWNER WORK 6. In the church building apartments, fixture type 13 is shown over the range in every unit. This fixture is a back door light according to the schedule on E103. Please advise. CHANGE TO TYPE 22. SECTION 07200 - INSULATION
PART 1 - GENERAL
1.01 SUMMARY
A. Provide building insulation of board and blanket types as applicable
1. Attics (interior), loose fill cellulose.
2. Exterior stud walls existing, spray moisture added, cellulose.
3. Exterior stud walls new, batt insulation
4. Slabs on grade in treated areas; 2”thick under slab.
5. Interior walls between units, interior walls between units and corridors:
Existing: blown in celluotic (ASTM c-739, ASTM C type II-1149) Boric Acid fire and
insect treated attaining the maximum accumulated R value possible per cavity thickness –
min R-13.30
New 3.5” framing: “R-13” unfaced fiberglass batts. New 5.5” framing: R-19 unfaced
fiberglass batts (class A, Type 1, ASTM – C 665)
6. Provide 2” deep baffles at eaves.
7. Air infiltration blankets on building’s perimeter walls. (See Section 06100, Rough
Framing).
8. Floors/ceilings between units: blown in celluotic (ASTM C-739, ASTM C type II-1149)
Boric Acid fire and insect treated attaining the maximum accumulated R value possible
per cavity thickness – min R-13.30
9. Floors over crawlspace unfaced fiberglass batts and Polyisocyanurate board.
B. Provide ballasted vapor barrier over crawlspace areas and vapor barrier below concrete floor
slab areas.
C. Provide air infiltration blanket at exterior face of all new exterior wall sheathing.
1.02 SUBMITTALS
A. Submit for approval shop drawings (tapered insulation layout), product data, test reports.
1.03 QUALITY ASSURANCE
A. Comply with governing codes and regulations. Provide products of acceptable manufacturers
which have been in satisfactory use in similar service for three years. Use experienced
installers. Deliver, handle, and store materials in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
PART 2 - PRODUCTS
2.01 MATERIALS
A. Stabilized fill cellulose insulation:, Class A, Boric Acid fire and insect treated (Type II material
conforming to ASTM C-1149.)

B. Polyisocyanurate insulation boards at underside of floor joists in crawl space
C. Unfaced fiberglass insulating batts, (class A, Type 1, ASTM – C 665) as indicated on
Drawings. Owens Corning Fiberglass Corp or approved equal.
D. Unfaced fiberglass sound batts, 3-1/2” bathroom, halls, between bedrooms, laundries and where
indicated on Drawings. (class A, Type 1, ASTM – C 665) Owens Corning Fiberglass Corp or
approved equal.
E. Vapor barrier: 6 mil clear polyethylene sheet under slab on grade.
1. Provide crushed stone ballasting at crawlspace areas.
F. 2” baffles at roof eaves.
G. Air Infiltration blankets to be installed on all exterior wall surfaces; Tyvek by Dupont or
approved equal.
PART 3 - EXECUTION
3.01 INSTALLATION
A. Install insulation materials and systems in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and
approved submittals. Install materials and systems in proper relation with adjacent
construction. Coordinate with work of other sections. Provide full thickness in one layer over
entire area, tightly fitting around penetrations. Installation Cellulose insulation shall comply
with ASTM Standard C-1015. Installations shall attain “Earthcraft” approvals.
B. Install vapor barrier over entire area of inside face of exterior walls and elsewhere as indicated.
Install air infiltration blankets over entire area of exterior wall. Seal all seams and around
perimeter and penetrations with approved tape to form a continuous barrier free of holes.
C. Protect installed insulation, air infiltration blankets, and vapor barrier.
