Split Outdoor Unit QR Code Label

• In August of this year a label with a QR code (a 2D barcode) was added to the side of the electrical panel of MOST split outdoor units

– Commercial 3 phase split units, international only splits, and split sku’s ending in a “Y” will NOT have this label

– Only currently being added to split outdoor units. Air handlers, coils, furnaces, package units, and so forth will NOT have them but may be added in the future

• This feature will allow the installer to quickly access the unit’s latest product support documents, including the technical sales literature, quick reference data sheets, installation instructions, replacement parts lists, wiring diagrams.

• Scanning a QR code is quick and easy. All that is needed to scan a QR code is to download a free QR scanner app such as QuickMark, Red Laser, or Google Goggles from your tablet or mobile device’s application store

• Once the app is downloaded to your device, open it and point your device’s camera at the QR code.

• The app should read the QR code and allow you to open the online literature library website on your phone.

• This will take you directly to that unit’s page on the online literature library. For example, if you scanned the QR code on a JS6BD-024K unit you will be taken to the page on the literature library for the JS6BD product family.
