The Inside Scoophome thingsA Dallas lady’s home tends to be just as stylish as her wardrobe. Hence, the great selection of Dallas stores and boutiques dedicated to all things interior. Here are a few we just can’t let you miss!

The Knox/Henderson neighborhood is loaded with shops like Pottery Barn, Z Gallerie, Mecox and Weir’s, which you’ll nd on the Knox side of Central Expressway. The Henderson side has a collection of antique and resale shops such as The Whimsey Shoppe, Again & Again and Consignment Heaven.

When in Dallas visit the Design District, which houses designer showrooms, some of which are now open to the public and selling to individuals. And there’s also the Trinity Antiques District, bordered by Slocum Street, Dragon Street and Industrial Boulevard.

In Snider Plaza pop in to The Nest for a gorgeous vase or lamp. If your style is a little more laid-back, try Vintage Living for a statement-making mirror or shabby-chic cabinet.

In Plano, Williams-Sonoma Home—the only location in Texas—oers a fantastic selection of elegant and traditional items ranging from kitchenware to furniture and lighting! If rustic or southwestern come to mind when describing your style, then Antèks Home Furnishings in the Design District is the place for you. From the outrageous—like a chandelier constructed out of antlers—to the subtle—a nice cowhide ottoman, Antèks has it all!

Outlets/BargAinsDon’t you just love it when the dress you got for an absolute steal is the one you get the most compliments on? Then, honey, read on.

If you’re searching for current season designer duds at a discount, then DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse and the new Park Lane location of Nordstrom Rack are calling your name.

If it’s a marathon you’re in the mood for, look no further than Allen Premium Outlets, featuring none other than Neiman Marcus Last Call, Michael Kors, Kenneth Cole, Brooks Brothers, Ralph Lauren, Burberry, Ann Taylor, Coach and BCBGMAXAZRIA. Plus about 92 more. Seriously—there are 100 stores here!

If stylish decorating is more your speed, you won’t want to miss the Crate & Barrel Outlet for tabletop and kitchen-ware, and the Cantoni Outlet for sleek, modern furnish-

ings. Horchow Finale oers Neiman Marcus’ ne housewares at deep discounts you won’t

believe. If your favorite catalog is Wisteria, you can’t miss the only physical store in

the country, and it’s an outlet, right here in Dallas.

60s, 70s and 80s at extremely aordable prices. Located in the Bishop

Arts District, Zola’s Everyday Vintage oers a great selection of current fashion trends

combined with vintage accents.

Featuring designer pieces from the 60s through the 90s, Archive is a fashion collector’s dream. We’re talking Dior, Chanel, Gucci, Halston, Pucci, Chloe, Gaultier and YSL. The sweet spotsNorthPark centerI’m willing to bet that NorthPark Center houses the highest number of luxury goods per capita in the city. Let’s start with the majors, shall we? Neiman Marcus, Barneys New York and Nordstrom—music to my diamond-studded ears.

In case you didn’t know, Dallas is where the Neiman Marcus legacy of luxury and gorgeousness all began. Feeling cutting-edge? Try Barneys for a little Alexander Wang and a dash of Lanvin. Head to Nordstrom for a truly decadent selection of shoes. And then there’s Henri Bendel, where the shelves are lled with delicious handbags, bangles, scarves, gloves, and more!

If designer jeans are your weakness, make sure to hit 7 for All Mankind and True Religion for the perfect t. Dress up that new pair of jeans with a great ring or stack of bangles from David Yurman.

If you’re a die-hard fashionista, you can’t miss the latest runway looks at Herve Leger, Bottega Veneta, Roberto Cavalli, Oscar de la Renta, and Valentino. Oh, and did we mention that there’s a newly opened 6,000 square foot Louis Vuitton superstore? That’s right, head on over for the latest “It” bag. For an equally recognizable accessory, try Burberry for a signature plaid scarf. And for more Brit style, hit up Ted Baker of London for a fresh tartan sheath.

galleria dallasWith over 200 exclusive stores and restau-rants, Galleria Dallas truly has something for everyone, making it one of the top shopping and tourism destinations in the country!

Nordstrom gets me every time. I can’t walk past that enormous shoe department without stopping to gaze upon a beautiful new pair of pumps that would be perfect—just perfect!—for my wardrobe. Saks Fifth Avenue is always on the money when it comes to designer sunglasses—endless cases oer every style available season after season. And you have to stop at

American Girl Boutique and Bistro. If you have your little girl with you, you’ll create fantastic memories.

Do you have an uncontrollable shoe addiction? Me too. That’s why I head to Gregory’s for the newest, hottest and latest in glamorous footwear, from Jimmy Choo to Costume National. Just a few doors down you’ll nd Gucci, lled with logo bags and the season’s must-have looks. Zara and Club Monaco will keep you stocked in well-cut basics that’ll become your go-to pieces—perfect for pairing with the newest “It” bag from Louis Vuitton.

I guess it couldn’t hurt to pick up something for the man in your life too—try St. Croix

for a luxurious sweater or polo. TOUS and Kate Spade will dazzle you

with gorgeous baubles and accessories. And don’t forget

LUSH for yummy hand-made natural cleansers and cosmetics.

uptown girlsuptownUptown Dallas is the place to see and be seen. Known for trendy shopping and chic clientele, uptown boutiques are always stocked with the newest merchandise from the hottest designers and labels.

Kacky and Carl is a favorite among Dallas fashionistas, featuring many as-seen-on celebrity looks. From beautiful jewelry to that perfect pair of jeans, this store is a must-see. Linus Lounge is a comfortable lounge-like environment where you can nd the latest shoes from cutting edge designers such as Barbara Bui and LD Tuttle. Krimson and Clover is a chic boutique featuring must-have brands such as Madison Marcus and Cooper by Courtney.

The open-air shopping center known as West Village is a prime destination for all things fashion-forward. L. Bartlett is a one-stop shop for your head-to-toe look, featuring Sam Edelman, Johnny Was and Kendra Scott. Next door is The Glass Slipper, which always has a well-edited selection of girlie frocks. And make sure to stock up on aordable jersey-knit basics at Pitaya. I can always count on Via Pelle to have the perfect nishing touch for my outt.

snider plazaThis “parkie” shopping area is a neighborhood secret full of independent retailers. Its neighborhood feel and rich history make Snider Plaza a favorite Dallas shopping and dining destination.

Cotton Island will likely catch your attention, featuring lines such as Juicy Couture, Yellow Box and Junk Food. A few doors down you’ll nd The Impeccable Pig, which will keep you stocked in picture-perfect accessories. Try Melanie Gayle for brands like Shoshanna and Central Park West, favorites of Dallas’ most fashionable women. And a trip to Snider Plaza wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Studio Sebastian for a peek at exclusive lines such as Blugirl and Costume National.

Highland Park VillageDid you wake up this morning feeling a little “fancy pants?” If so, allow me to direct you to Highland Park Village. Some might call it snobby or yuppie, but I think it’s just grand. You should start by having breakfast at the original Celebrity Bakery—nothing sets the tone for the

day quite like a fresh baked scone and coee. Then you’ll denitely want to head to Hermès for a new scarf. And maybe a new Birkin bag while you’re at it? Then it’s o to Chanel for a magnicent jacket or classic chain-strap handbag. Don’t forget to spritz a little No. 5 before you leave! You’ll denitely need a new pair of stilettos from Jimmy Choo for this evening, so pop in to try on a pair…or ten.

If you’re feeling a bit playful by the afternoon, pop in to Tory Burch for a signature tunic and logo-adorned

pair of ats. And then stop by Scoop NYC to get in on the latest trends with labels such as

Marc Jacobs and Alice+Olivia.

You can even shop for a cause while you’re here. St. Michael’s Woman’s

Exchange is a one-of-a-kind store that oers a selection of gifts, accessories and baby clothes, and the prots are donated to social service agencies and organiza-tions throughout the world.

lovers laneHead to Lovers Lane if you want to

shop the way chic Dallas girls do. Formerly known as the “Miracle Mile,”

this stretch includes some of the city’s best independent boutiques.

Elements boasts current designer labels such as M Missoni, See by Chloé and Alice+Olivia. Next door you’ll nd Elle, Elements’ casual little sister, with brands like La Rok, T-Bags, and Plenty. Both of these standout boutiques pride themselves on friendly, stress-free customer service.

Across the street, you’ll nd Mine, which features lines such as Kensie and Tom Ford eyewear. Hemline has something for every style with brands such as Free People, Miss Me and Jenny Han. And don’t miss Strut, with its extremely aordable selection of jersey pieces, chunky knits and statement-making accessories.

Stella Dallas features jaw-dropping reworked vintage furniture and home accessories, all with a contemporary twist, perfect for resting your weary toes after a day of shopping. Speaking of toes, make sure to stop by Lou Lou for a gorgeous new pair of shoes!
