The restaurant is wrapped in a curved white picket fence dotted with metallic gold bars. Its evenly spaced vertical pickets are also curved in profile, allowing seated patrons to visually interact by ensuring views to the surrounding high-end fashion shops. On-lookers can enjoy a view of the "high tea" experience in action. The fence is also a play on the English picket fence, holding all the colourful decorative furniture and joinery within it. This ensemble provides a warm and feminine world, designed to rest on the existing white marble floor.

BAROQUE BAR BISTRO PATISSERIEThe Rocks, Sydney, NSW 2009-2010
The heritage building remains relatively untouched to accommodate the new interior. The design contrasts high tech materials and virtual surfaces against the raw patina of the former interior of the building. The restaurant is warm and intimate to ensure customer comfort. Great design effort ensured water and electrical efficiency and a 5 star rating in keeping with the building and the requirements of The Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority.

VERANDAH BARSydney, NSW 2007
The existing bar was completely re-designed to create a warm inviting space with a central bar acting as the main focus. This dynamic and well-considered layout eliminates dead spots and allows for the space to be used more efficiently by staff and patrons. The new anti-smoking laws provided a challenge for creating a terrace area designed to comply by placing louvers that pull back and also seal off one side of the terrace.

GAZEBO WINE GARDENKings Cross, NSW 2005-2006
The Gazebo Wine Garden is housed in the circumferential space of the old gazebo hotel, a place of vivid social history adjacent an intriguing square and park with an artistic twist. The park and social history were designed into this new space where local contextual echoes resonate. The wine cellar room feel and pioneering use of recycled materials, furniture and green walls make a pleasurable and comfortable indoor-outdoor experience.
The Gazebo became a prototype design roll out for the client group.

THE VICTORIA ROOMDarlinghurst, NSW 2003
The Victoria Room is a classic Sydney hot spot. Formerly a panel beaters workshop, it is a luxurious and opulent dining room, lounge and bar. The interior expresses the client's desire for an eclectic room, which flirts with the romantic longings of the Victorian and British Raj era. The Victoria Room has become a Sydney classic; it is comfortable to be in either empty or packed with people of any age.

SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE BENNELONG RESTAURANT
Sydney, NSW 2001
The use of light was critical to the redesign of Bennelong. New up-lighting dramatised the Opera House's ribbed roof enclosure while the restaurants dining and seated spaces were made more intimate and seductive through the incorporation of designed lamps. Set-like objects; aboriginal painted lamps and memorial poles, over scaled vases, flower arrangements and new seating were designed for the space. The aboriginal works reclaim the ground on which the restaurant and Opera House sit.

Designed as Sydney's first 'new breed' gourmet deli, it was critical to ensure an authentic food experience. The former office shell was stripped back and exposed raw. THE ‘ARTWALL’Kings Cross, NSW 2000-2003
The 'Art Wall' employs carefully detailed screening to mediate the harsh Australian light while reducing heat-load. The facade screen pattern was used in the interior graphically. The interior spaces were left raw and bare to avoid costs and solve access problems to services. It is a low maintenance environment with low VOC's and few painted finishes. It is an early 'green' Sydney building.

SEAMLESS HOUSESurry Hills, NSW 2002-2003
We make little spaces appear big and intimate - a cute kitchen engages the inside-outside and flows seamlessly with living and garden environments in this compact terrace house in Surry Hills. The bold red kitchen adds warmth and acts as a centrepiece.
THE KITCHEN FLOWS SEAMLESSLY WITH BOTH LIVING AND GARDEN

THE WATER HOUSEElizabeth Bay, Sydney NSW Australia 1995-2001
This traditional terrace was completely gutted and a new steel-framed interior sequence of spaces was inserted. The ground plane is opened through, and a huge vertical void allows light to flood into the heart of the terrace, while lighting the fully glazed internal bathrooms. The stairs are generous and float up through the central void. A sunken black 'grotto' pool was wrapped in a fluidly designed sculptural veil.

SKI LODGETamarack, Idaho, USA 2006-2009
A new ski lodge is sited in the woods with its back to the mountain and all rooms oriented to the lake. Composed of a grey stone base with black timber upper body and shingled roofs, the interior is designed as a slick black-white scheme which is set off against recycled timbers, copper windows and doors. It contains guest and children retreats, ski storage and saunas/spas, surrounded by generous and commanding terraces with internal-external cooking and open fires.

INDIAN OCEAN ECO RETREATMargaret River, WA 1998-2000
This eco retreat overlooks the Indian Ocean, sitting with its back along the sand dunes. Stepping down through the solid cave-like entry, the quiet sleeping quarters are composed of white gallery walls and polished concrete floors, with long slot-windows that frame specific vistas. The central kitchen with its cantilevered concrete bench commands a wide view out towards the horizon, while the bamboo flooring in the main lounge area creates a comfortable space with its softness underfoot.

AXOLOTL TRADE EXHIBITIONDesignEx 06, Darling Harbour, NSW 2006
The design represents the extensive technical range of Axolotl's glass and metal finishes the group is so capable of. A huge glass painting was conceived to backdrop the range of designer doors. Our own DJE door is also exhibited.

POL OXYGEN MAGAZINE TRADE EXHIBITION
DesignEx 06, Darling Harbour, NSW 2006
We designed an art installation instead of typical trade exhibition. Pol Oxygen's design magazine is both intellectual and artistic, and was represented by the names of the magazines authors and subjects in the form of pickled brain specimens. The clinical rows of jarred brains ensured a shock factor and attracted much attention at what are usually rather visually dull events, which helped Pol Oxygen's sales of magazines and subscriptions at the event.
