November 10, 2017 marks the 25th playing of the NDHSAA Dakota Bowl. The annual event where North Dakota's high school football state champions are crowned has become one of the most anticipated events on the NDHSAA’s calendar. To honor the event’s rich tradition, NDHSAA Media Specialist Tom Mix is posting weekly retrospectives highlighting the Dakota Bowl’s history. Week 3 highlights Dakota Bowl XXIV played November 11, 2016 at the Fargodome.

• Kurt Dickhut rushes for 234 yards, 3 TDs as Saints' running attack posts 388 yards on 59 attempts.

• Saints win third AA state title in four seasons.

• RB Adam Diedrich rushes for 233 yards, 3TDs and QB Calen Schwabe posts 346 yards of total offense to help Thompson win 9-man state title.
