The Site is within the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, in East London. The centre of Dagenham is located 0.75 miles (1.2 km) to the north, Rainham is 2.5 miles (4 km) east and Barking is 3.1 miles (5 km) to the north west.
The area is predominantly industrial to the south and residential to the north comprising predominantly terraced and semi-detached houses. The River Thames runs approximately 1.3 miles (2 km) to the south.
