What is globalization?
Globalization is the process of integration of economy, politic and
culture across the whole globe. In my opinion globalization is never
just a one-way process. Many factors and aspects provoke this process.
History
Globalization is not a new phenomenon of today. Since the discovery of America and the time before the World War II exist some international trade and some fast communication between the continents. Also, some inventions like the steam engine and the telegraph had great importance.
Advantages
- industrial countries like the USA and countries from Europe invest their capital in poor countries which are in the process of developing;
- the industrial countries build factories and make new workstations in the poor countries;
- in many countries the economical potential is growing;
Disadvantages- the pollution of the environment is a very negative side of the Globalization caused by worldwide industrialization and emissions of CO2;- the consequence of industrialization is the global warming.- the next negative aspect is that poor people get poorer and the rich people earn more and more money;
Case studies
The best example for a global player is Coca Cola.
If it is in a Chinese or in an Indian restaurant, or it is a supermarket in
Southern Africa, you everywhere can buy it.
Conclusion
In my opinion, the process of globalization does not stop so fast, because in our society, we always
experience alterations in every aspects of our daily life (for example politics, economy, school and mobilization).
