Do you have a few hours to volunteer on a weekly, monthly or quarterly basis? Our Mission Center is looking for volunteers to help with a variety of projects, from food distribution to tutoring. The ACCA food pantry needs volunteers to be food captains and food deliverers. In addition, the Annandale Meals on Wheels needs volunteer drivers. Whatever you may be going through, AUMC’s Stephen Ministers are available to talk to you so that you don’t have to walk alone. Our children’s clothing closet serves low-income residents who live near our Mission Center on Heritage Drive. If you would like to donate clothing to help our neighbors, we need clothes, shoes, coats, hats and gloves in all sizes from infant to teens. We also provide adults with winter coats, gloves

and hats. Donations can be placed in the white wooden box under the coat rack near the bathrooms and the parlor.

Volunteers needed to make brief home visits

About 30 members of Annandale United Methodist Church are homebound (many live in the Annandale area) and enjoy brief visits from church members. A small number of Caring Ministry team members make the monthly visits. Additional volunteers are needed to make visits!

If you would like to join the Caring Ministries team and are available to make brief homebound visits about once a month, please contact Barbara Gordon for more information: [email protected] or 703-300-5184. You may also contact Dottie Rogerson in the church office, [email protected] or 703-256-8330.
