Season Long Events Ringers, Birdies, Eagles, and Chip-Ins: Chairwoman: Laura Arnstein These are season-long competitions for the CWLGA members. Prizes will be awarded in flights on Awards Day. Ringers are your ultimate round of all the best gross scores you scored on each hole from the same tees throughout the season on CWLGA play days. Be sure to mark your score card with the birdies, eagles and chip-ins. These ONLY count if you hole out and are playing for an individual score. If you pick up for any reason mark an X on the score card next to your estimated score on that hole. The “2 Club”: This is comprised of all members who have scored a gross score of “2” on any hole and purchased the “2 Club” pin. To become a member you must be playing with a “2 Club” member and score a gross score of “2”. Pay the Treasurer $5.00 to receive your pin. Once a member, you will receive $1.00 from each “2 Club” member in your foursome when you again score a gross score of “2”. If any “2 Club”

Match Play: Chairwoman: Nancy Murphy The first round of Match Play Tournament will start the first week of February. Each pairing will have 2 weeks to complete their match. You must sign up by January 22nd with a partner who has a handicap within 10 points of your handicap. Depending on sign ups this will be run in a minimum of 2 Flights. Team scores consist of 6 points for 1st Place, 5 points for 2nd Place, 4 points for 3rd Place, 3 points for 4th Place, 2 points for 5th Place and 1 point for 6th Place. The team scores accumulate from each tournament. The team with the most points at the end of the season will receive a “Traveling Trophy” on FUN DAY. Any CWLGA or Cypress Woods member may sign up to play to a maximum of 36 handicap. A $48.00 member charge will be made to your Club’s account. You will need to bring $2.00 cash when you play. 2015-2016 LUSH Dates and Locations: Oct. 29 Cypress Woods Jan. 20 Heritage Palms – Sabal Nov. 12 Heritage Bay Mar. 30 Heritage Palms – Royal Dec. 17 Forest Glen Apr. 20 Legends FUN DAY

CWLGA Championship Tournament March 8 Flighted Gross and Net Championship for all CWLGA members only. CWLGA Rules and Regulations:

All participants must be members in good standing at Cypress Woods Golf and Country Club.

All participants must have a current USGA handicap or be registered in Cypress Woods Pro Shop handicapping system with a minimum of 5 current scores.

All guests on guest day must have a verifiable USGA handicap.

Play will be to a maximum handicap of 38.

All scores must be posted in the GHIN system within 72 hours.

Deadline for signing up for events will be Friday at 4 pm for play on the next play day.

When in doubt of a rule, play a second ball then consult with the Head Pro.

Person with the lowest handicap is captain and keeps the group moving so as you can see the group ahead of you at all times.

If you think a player will breach a rule, bring it to their attention before they do it for good sportsmanship.

Golf is a game of honor. Count all your hits, misses and penalties yourself. If you think another player breached a rule or reported an incorrect count, kindly suggest they count again or consult a Pro on rules. If you are asked to count again or told you broke a rule, do not get angry. Do not take this as an insult. Just verify who is correct. We need to all play by the same rules.

You can share distances with other players without penalty. It is good sportsmanship.

If in a team event and your score will not be used, pick up to speed up play and take the most reasonably possible score and mark it with an X. You should still post this score if it is an individual score. Do not post a score higher than your maximum for your handicap.

Golf Etiquette:

Turn off cell phone sounds and do not pick it up to check for messages or to send messages.

Arrive 20 minutes prior to scheduled tee time.

Play “Ready Golf” (except in Match play). Get out of the cart and walk to your ball while others are setting up. Be prepared to play when it is your turn by carrying a couple clubs and sand with you.

Do not talk, move yourself or cart when someone is hitting. Stay out of their site line and not too close.

Do not walk on anyone’s putting line.

Be ready to leave green with first person to putt out holding flag ready to replace it.

Record the scores on the next tee box not while still by the green.

Help others track their ball and look for their ball. Sometimes this means hitting your ball if you are up next then help look. If a ball is lost use the 5 minute time limit.

Park your carts on the path and closest to the next tee box.

Repair ball marks and shoe scuff marks on green, fill in divots in the fairway and on the tee. Rake the sand trap and leave the rake in the trap, near the edge.

Don’t remove ball from hole with putter. Repair hole scuffs only after you putt.
