• To provide schools districts with resources that can help them bridge the gap in their existing adopted ELD instructional materials and the new California ELD standards. The ELD SIMR will develop a list of SBE-approved ELD supplemental instructional materials for K-8.
• Districts may use any and all flexible funding (including funding for textbooks-formerly IMFRP), Prop 20 lottery funds, unrestricted general funds, and potentially various federal funds.
• The ELD SIMR process Is not a formal adoption, the review is informational only, schools districts do not have to buy these materials.
