Goodland couple wed in OctoberCynthia Megan Cole and Ross
Charles Cochran, both of Goodland, were married at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church at Goodland with Pastors Glenn Iserhagen and Brian Fugleberg offi ciating.
The bride is the daughter of Char-lene Cole-Jacobs and Elmer Jacobs of Goodland the the late Curtis Cole. The groom is the son of D. Levon and Charlyne Cochran of Ft. Lara-mie, Wyo.
She wore a Maggie Sottero strap-less one-piece ivory gown with pewter accent, a-line silhouette with corset closure. This Princess Satin gown featured hand-beaded embroidery decorating the bodice, beneath the empire cutaway panels and highlighting the train. She car-ried a bouquet of purple tulips and white button daisies.
The Maid of Honor was Cris-tin Cole, sister of the bride from Orlando, Fla. Bridesmaids were Cyndi Davis of Pasadena, Calif.; Kyla Foltz, sister of the groom of Mills, Wyo., Adrienne Greenlee of Kansas City, Mo., Melissa Biggers of San Antonio, Texas and the ju-nior bridesmaid was Grace Cole of Goodland, cousin of the bride.
All wore matching Alfred Angelo satin princess-line strapless empire waist dresses in clover with ivory
trim. The fl ower girls were Eve Cole
of Goodland, cousin of the bride and Karen Schardt, niece of the groom of Lusk, Wyo. They wore Alfred Angelo satin scooped neck-line dresses in Victorian lilac with organza skirts feature apron backs accented at the waist with ivory trim and bows.
The groom wore a traditional black tuxedo with tails, a white vest, white bow tie and black sus-penders.
The Best Man was Casey Foltz of Mills, Wyo., brother-in-law of the groom. Groomsmen were Dan Hinman of Alliance, Neb., David Schardt, brother-in-law of the groom of Lusk, Wyo., Kyle Haggerty of Hillrose, Colo., Mike Dart of Sharon Springs and junior groomsman was Landon McCaf-frey, nephew of the bride of Vona, Colo. All wore matching tuxedos with Victorian lilac ties and black suspenders. The ring bearer was Henry Cole, cousin of the bride of Goodland He wore a traditional black tuxedo with tails matching the groom.
Guests were greeted by Marcy Melia of Goodland and Alicia West of Olathe as they signed the guest book. Programs were handed out by Katie Schardt, niece of the groom
of Lusk, Wyo. and Elizabeth Bill-ings, cousin of the bride of Omaha, Neb.
Candlelighters were Whitney and Tiffany McCaffrey, nieces of the bride of Vona, Colo. They wore matching Alfred Angelo satin cock-tail length dresses in Victorian lilac with ivory trim.
The ushers were Bryce Cole, cousin of the bride of Goodland, Scott Billings, cousin of the bride of Omaha, Neb., Levi Cochran, brother of the groom of Ft. Lara-mie, Wyo., and Terry McCaffrey, borther-in-law of the bride of Vona, Colo.
Music was provided by organist Geralyn Parker of Goodland and so-loist T-Shane Roberts of Wamego. Readers were Shala Koelzer of Olathe and Joni Pearce of Wallace. The bride’s personal attendant was Jackie McCaffrey, sister of the bride of Vona, Colo.
A reception, dinner and dance followed at the Goodland Elks Lodge. Hostesses were Fern Heck-man of Goodland, Diana Spinney of Goodland and Shirley Billings, aunt of the bride of Red Oak, Iowa. The cake was served by Doris Vier-
regger of Denver, Colo. and Diana Spinney of Goodland.
The bride graduated in 1999 from Goodland High School, in 2003 received a Bachelor of Arts in social workfrom Baylor University at Waco, Texas and in 2004 her mas-ter’s degree in social work from the University of Kansas at Lawrence. She is a social worker and therapist with Saint Francis Community Services Family Preservation at Colby.
The groom graduated in 1997 from Lingle-Ft. Laramie High School at Laramie, in 2002 from Eastern Wyoming College at Tor-rington, Wyo., with an associate’s degree in wildlife management, in 2004 from University of Wyoming at Laramie, Wyo., with a bachelor’s degree in rageland ecology and watershed management. He is an agronomist and area crop special-ist with Servi-Tech of Goodland serving Sherman County and sur-rounding areas.
The couple spent their honey-moon in Hawaii visiting Oahu, Maui and Kauai.
After returning the couple resides
Emily Murray and Brock Lohr
College couple plan to marry in July
Emily Anne Murray and Brock Delane Lohr plant to marry on Sat-urday, July 31, 2010, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church at Goodland.
Her parents are John and Dana Murray of Goodland and her grand-parents are Sharon and the late Dar-rell Mann of Goodland and Gerald and Olive Murray of Shelton, Neb.
His mother is Joni Wilson of Goodland and his grandparents are Ralph and Shirley Wilson of Ruleton.
The bride-to-be graduated in 2007 from Goodland High School and will graduate in December 2010 from Pittsburg State University with a degree in elementary education.
The future groom graduated in 2005 from Goodland High School and will get his Masters degree in communications from Pitts-
burg State University in December 2010.
