    Cycle Count Specific Items

    ABC Analysis

    Application: Inventory

Process: Cycle Count on Specific Item (s)

The process for cycle counting begins with the ABC Analysis process !hilethe intent is to cycle count specific items" #racle will nee$ to you i$entify whatthe starting point is for that specific item cycle count

#b%ectives: This $ocument e&plains the process for cycle counting specific items withinyour organi'ation #*

This $ocument will assume that you wish to perform a cycle count on a specific item (s) withinyour organi'ation in$epen$ent of which subinventory that item may resi$e This will allow you

to select specific items within your organi'ation" combine them into one cycle count" an$ performthe cycle count accor$ingly

Some e&amples of where you woul$ use specific item cycle count:

+) Items are i$entifie$ on the egative #n,-an$ Inventory report As part of the

investigation as to why this has occurre$" you will nee$ to verify the accurate .uantitieson han$ an$ perform a cycle count on these items

/) 0iscrepancies are i$entifie$ with actual on,han$ .uantities versus #racle on,han$.uantities *ou will want to perform a specific item cycle count to correct theinaccuracies as a result of the investigation you perform to $etermine root cause

    1) Any A0,-#C cycle counting of specific items This proce$ure is #* to be use$ for

    specific item cycle counts2
