There are many cybersecurity tips that will help keep small businesses protected.

In this story you will see some tips on how to protect the online usage of a business.

Let us now go and look at some of the tips that can be beneficial to small businesses!

When Susan tries to set up her own small business, she asks Maria many questions about how to stay safe.

Maria is Susan's friend, and is a cybersecurity specialist at a major retail store.

Maria tells her, "One way to stay safe is to save files on multiple devices."

Susan replies, "Wow! I had never heard of doing that before. I'm an employer at a small business up the street. What should I inform my employees about to helpthem stay safe online?"

Maria exclaims, "That's a good question! There are multiple ways for your employees to stay safe online."

"One way for your employees to stay safe online is to inform them on how to successfully protect the data of their position in the workplace."

Susan nods her head and agrees with Maria.

Susan then replies, "That's a smart idea!"

Susan continues the conversation with Maria as the sound of thunder is heard outside. 

Susan asks, "Are there any other tips that I can tell my employees? One of the newest additions to our team is giving a speech tomorrow about our business."

Maria responds, "Yes, there is a tip to help with your employees' speech preparation! You need to make sure that employees understand how to give a presentation in a way that won't give away your companies' secrets." 

Susan writes down all of the information given to her by Maria on a piece of paper.

Maria continues to tell Susan tips. Lightning is seen out the window.

Susan asks Maria, "How do I keep the computers in my business safe? I have important information on them. Do you have any tips for me?

Grabbing some water from the corner, Maria responds, "Yes! There are many tips on keeping computers safe. One tip for you to know is to keep uncertified people from logging onto your computers. Computers are easy targets to steal data from."

Susan agrees with Maria's statement as she grabs candy from the table.

Maria continues the conversation stating, "Another tip to staying safe is to apply antivirus programs to computers and to make software upgrade involuntarily. Adding firewalls to your computers is also important."

Susan looks up from her paper and says, "Thank you so much for your help Maria!"

Maria responds, "You're welcome! Would you like to stay a little while longer to hear more tips? I have coffee over near the counter if you would like some."

Susan replies, "Thank you for the offer but I'm afraid that I have to leave. Thank you for all of your help, and I will stop by later this week to hear more!"

Susan departs from the store. Maria decides to vacuum around her work desk after Susan leaves. Night comes and everyone goes home for a good night's rest!
