When you write online, it’s sometimes easy to forget that there’s a real person on the other end of your message.

It’s also easier to say and do things you might not say or do in person.

Keep this in mind and treat others respectfully.

your parents or a trusted adult)

People can be mean online, just like in real life. However, being behind a computer screen often makes it easier to say or do mean things that you wouldn’t do in person.

If Cyberbullying happens to you…

• Tell a parent or teacher• Don’t answer mean comments. Save them

and show a parent or teacher.• Block to cyber bully so that they can’t contact

you• Report them to the game or social forum

Some websites are not meant for kids. To avoid seeing something inappropriate:• Set the search engine to block mature content• Install internet filter software• Book mark safe and fun websites
