The Project also intend to establish a Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) programme on Operation and Maintenance (O&amp;M) of wastewater treatment plant with the experts of North South University through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The PGD programme comprised several courses including ETP processes, Biological and chemical treatment, mechanical and electrical part of wastewater treatment plant, occupational health and safety, fast aid training, ISO 14001 EMS and firefighting. </p><p>Position held: Project Coordinator Activities performed: Responsible for overall project management and coordination. The scope of services included: preparation of PGD course material, ensure promotion of social and environment standard in the industry; maintain liaison among GIZ, Consultants, NGOs and Governmental bodies, project accounting, communication and outreach activities, project monitoring, assisted the consultants, assisted in workshop and training manual preparation, program documentation and report preparation i.e. inception, progress and completion. </p><p>Name of assignment or project: Micro insurance Status and Potential study under the Loss and Damage Project - 2nd Phase </p><p>Year: 2013 Location: Bangladesh Client: IIED Main project features: The objective of the project was to establish the practice of micro insurance (crop insurance) in the rural sector of Bangladesh.
