Further Interests and Achievements

I have been involved with the IVSA at university for 2 years. This organises exchanges between vet schools worldwide. Having helped organise 2 exchanges with the Berlin vet school and the Swedish Vet school, Uppsala, I have had a chance to meet some very interesting and diverse people and to experience how veterinary is taught in different countries.

Currently volunteering for ‘CoppaFeel!’ which involves organising events to raise awareness for breast cancer in young women.

Was a member of my Student Halls Committee at University where we organised events for the students residing in the halls and initiate changes or better systems after asking their opinions or concerns. For example, I took a group of students on a daytrip to Chester Zoo.

Captain of the 1st Lacrosse Team at both my schools and Liverpool University 1st Lacrosse Team.

During the school year of 2011/2012 volunteered at local RDA centre every Monday.

Selected, in 2011, to be part of a British junior event squad competing in France.

Head Girl at Queen Mary’s School.

Selected to be reserve for the British Pony Event Team for the European Championships 2009. Also chosen to be part of a British pony event squad to compete at Necarne International Horse Trials 2009, placed 5th.

In 2009, organised a ball, with 2 other friends, for teenagers (13-15 year olds) in my local area in order to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust, raising almost £2000. I also helped set up and run a charity talent competition at my school at the time (2011), raising over £500 for Help for Heroes.
