Relevant Experience In order; starting from most recent, I am pleased to provide details of my employment history and experience. Aug 2016 - Present day Working as Electrical Tech on an FPSO (Baobab) I am currently working out in Abidjan. Initially I was brought onboard, to carry out the commissioning and installation of an additional switchboard, and after this was complete, I was asked to join the maintenance department.

June 2016 - June 2016 (Short contract North Sea)

Working as an Electrical Tech through KEE Group This was a short term contract that I did most recently just after leaving Transocean. For the Electrical Construction and Installation on the Solan H.U.C, for AKER Solutions.

2007- June 2016

Working as Chief Electrician for Transocean.

Up until recently, I worked as Chief Electrician for Transocean on the Sedco Express; a 5th Generation D/P semi-sub drilling rig. My main duties and responsibilities were for the installation, maintenance and repair of all the electrical equipment. To mentor and assist with junior personnel, follow statutory regulations onboard the rig, and ensure that jobs were carried out safely and efficiently. To take part in pre tower meetings, carry out tool box talks, and plan the written Risk Assessments for jobs to be carried out safely. I was responsible for making sure that PTW and Energy Isolations were in place. I gained experience carrying out maintenance and repairs on LV, MV and HV switch gear (Cutler Hammer and Merlin Gerin). I kept maintenance records accurate and up to date, maintained stock levels, and kept the spare parts warehouse inventory min/max levels accurate. I worked on maintenance, repair, and trouble shooting on various drilling equipment (***see list below).

My experience as Chief Electrician has also covered the job role of Instrument Technician, as I have experience calibrating equipment, checking current loops, ESD’s, pressure testing, trip testing, fault finding on various equipment. I am very competent working with PLC systems (such as Siemens S7 and more listed below***). Also more than familiar with connecting a laptop to the PLC, and other associated equipment, to monitor values, fault find, check parameters/software, investigate alarms etc. I left Transocean in June of this year, as unfortunately both the Sedco Express, and Cajun Express were Cold stacked by Transocean, and there were no internal vacancies to transfer too. I assisted in the Cold

Stacking of both of these rigs and carried out the role of Electrical Supervisor during this process. *** V-icis (Varco Integrated Control Systems), * ALSTON Drilling drive * PLC’s Allen Bradley Alspa C80-35, Siemens Step 7, and GE Fanuc, * Canrig 747 Top Drive * National Oil Varco (NOV) AHC-750 GE- Draw works with( Hi-Tec control system) * ( Varco) Pipe Racking Systems PRS-5R/S (which operate using Siemens Simovert VFD’s). * MOS equipment, catwalk, and pipe handlers iron roughnecks. * Kenz deck cranes * Propulsion is Alston Rolls Royce Kamewa mermaid Thrusters , which are controlled by a syncrodrive. Working as Underground Electrician for Cleveland Potash Mine Ltd

I started my working life with Cleveland Potash. It was here that I completed my apprenticeship, which was validated by the Engineering Industry Training Board, and then continued to work for a number of years, before leaving to pursue a career in the Oil and Gas Industry. My work here as an Electrician involved working underground, as Cleveland Potash is a mine. During my time at Boulby mine, I gained extensive experience in all aspects of being an Electrician. I worked as Faceline Production Electrician, Central Electrician and Installation Electrician. These various roles gave me experience in different aspects of the mine, from working with front line machinery, ensuring it was repaired quickly in the event of breakdowns working with voltages up to 11Kv, to fault finding with PLC systems, and installing new machinery working with (FLP) flameproof tolerances, use of the permit to work, risk assessments etc. It was here that I also worked on the commissioning of two new 11 Kv substations.
