BRIEF PROFILE
Prof. Dr. Rozainun Haji Abdul Aziz is currently the Dean for the Faculty of Accountancy, UiTM Selangor, Puncak Alam and has been awarded the most illustrious royalty award by the Sultan of Kelantan, PMK (Paduka Mahkota Kelantan) on 10 November 2015. She is a Professor of Management Accounting and a Chartered Accountant of Malaysia (CA(M)).
Rozainun is an alumni of UiTM, a graduate of Diploma in Accountancy (1981). She obtained her Master of Science (Econs) in Accounting and Finance from University of Wales, Aberystwyth (1995), and obtained her PhD degree from the University of Salford, United Kingdom (2004). Her areas of interest are management accounting and risk management.
She is an MIA Council Member, appointed by the Minister of Finance II and is also a council member of the Deans Council for Accounting Programs for the Higher Learning Public Institutions in Malaysia. Rozainun is an FCMA and CGMA. She is the Chairperson of the Examining Body for the National MIA Qualifying Examination.
She has over 30 years of working experience, teaching students of the Diploma, Degree, Master and Doctoral programs. She has held various academic appointments to manage academic programs, research and industry linkages, from time to time, throughout her service in UiTM.
She is often invited as guest speaker and keynote speaker in symposiums and international conferences.

SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Rozainun Abdul Aziz is a Professor of Management Accounting at the Faculty of Accountancy,
Universiti Teknologi MARA, Shah Alam, Malaysia. She is currently the Dean of the Faculty of
Accountancy, managing and promoting accounting education towards the development of the
accounting profession and human capital, through academic programs (Diploma in Accountancy,
Professional Accountancy External programs such as CIMA, ACCA, MICPA, CTIM and CPA Australia), as
well as potgraduate programs of Phd, and Master of Accountancy, Master in Forensic Accounting and
Financial Criminology.
Rozainun is an alumni of UiTM, where she graduated with a Diploma in Accountancy in 1981. She
obtained her PhD degree from the University of Salford, United Kingdom (2004) and Master of Science
(Econs) in Accounting and Finance from University of Wales, Aberystwyth (1995). She has also
successfully completed her CIMA examinations.
Rozainun’s areas of interest are Management Accounting, Risk Management, Forensic Accounting &
Financial Criminology, and Forecasting. She completed a joint research on forecasting, the first
inception, under IRDC funding. She has completed two FRGS grants for research on forecasting and
Management Accounting. She has just received an FRGS grant in the recent exercise. She was also
the syllabus writer and chief examiner for Business Strategies with MAICSA, a professional
qualification, and an Academic Advocate of ISACA (Information Systems Audit and Control
Association).
She teaches Risk Management for the Masters in Forensic Accounting and Financial Criminology, and
Master of Accountancy and she has taught Cost and Management Accounting to CIMA students as well
as TOPCIMA, and Master in Business Administration and Master of Sport Science at the Universiti
Teknologi MARA. She also has teaching experience abroad in the U.K., teaching HND courses,
Accounting degree and Masters degree students for management accounting and finance related
areas. Participating annually for consultancy training, she shares as a facilitator and a guest speaker,
topics relating to Forensic Accounting and Risk Management with Audit and Control elements to
practitioners and staff of the regulators and enforcement units of Malaysia, Investigators and
personnels from various other backgrounds.
She sits on the editorial board for APMAJ (Asia Pacific Management Accounting Journal) and she is a
chief judge for CIMA Global business Challenge for national level 2012. She has teaching experience
for financial and managerial accounting for the MBA program and Advanced Accounting for Senior
Managers for the Doctoral in Business Administration (DBA) program at the Islamic International
University of Malaysia. She has under her leadership, 500 lecturers across Malaysia in main campus
and in ten (10) branches of UiTM which offers diploma and degree programs in Accounting,
professional programs and postgraduate programs, supporting about 15,000 students in total. She
believes in IQRA’ to be part of everyone’s routine, and she believes in driving the momentum of
quality at the Faculty through passion and transformation, which aims at producing quality
graduates, maintaining quality programs with the support of quality lecturers.

The paper ‘Instruments for Managing Foreign Exchange Risk (co-written with Associate Professor Son Tan Sing dan Associate Professor Teh Khuan Ying) was nominated by MIA (Malaysian Institute of Accountants) for the 1998 FMAC Article Award for Distinguished Contribution to Management Accounting’ in New York, America.

Leadership and Personal Qualities
1. Responsible for the management and strategic development of the Faculty of Accoutancy, as a Dean, for accounting academic programs, research and consultancy projects.
2. Responsible for facilitating lecturers towards enhancing research culture at the Faculty, working together with ARI. Involved in university-industry linkages for potential employability of students and in developing soft skills and corporate responsibility efforts.
3. Headed the faculty postgraduate research programs (AC780/990) to reinforce operations and management of the programs, monitoring students’ progress, promote programs, discuss with students and potential students about Phd journey and their research planning.
4. Arranged schedule of visiting professors to include presentation of seminar papers towards research enhancement, writing skills and theoretical framework towards enhancing research, at the Faculty and the state campuses.
5. Provide assistance and support to TOPCIMA students at the last minute for their final exam preparation in November 2008.
6. Headed Perdana Project with 6 members towards eScience Fund Application, recommended by RMI for further consideration by MOSTI (January 2009).
7. Headed the committee for organizing ‘Seminar on Forensic Accounting and Financial Criminology 2008’ held on 28/10/08 with 400 participants at the Securities Commission, Kuala Lumpur.
8. Headed the committee for organizing ‘ASIA PACIFIC International Conference on Forensic Accounting and Financial Criminology 2009’ held on 16 and 17 June 2009 at the Menara Kuala Lumpur.
9. Headed IRDC project: Forecasting Practices and Perceptions of Forecasting in a Malaysian-Funded University; completed the project and submitted Research report to IRDC on 14 August 2006.
