B . P E R S O N A L P R O F I L E S U M M A R YA public health specialist with diverse and extensive experience in health planning, programming, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. I have 5-years experience as a development assistance programmer with a donor agency – USAID; 3-years as Health Information project director, 1-year as an assistant lecturer in the subjects of epidemiology and biostatistics at Makerere University and 2-years as a grass-roots medical officer in charge of a health sub-district in Tororo District supervising over 10 public health facilities serving over 100,000 people. Currently I am a free lance consultant on project/program development, monitoring and evaluation with special focus of communicable diseases especially malaria, and information technologies for health.
I have developed excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strategic thinking and planning skills and change management as a result of the various assignments I have undertaken. I am able to work in a multi-sectoral environment, able to understand and appreciate different cultures geared at working with different personalities with the overall aim of always achieving the desired objectives.
I am an innovator and avid learner. A holder of Master of Public Health (MPH - 2004) and Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB – 1998).
