I am a Glasgow University Politics graduate looking for employment and I am
willing to work enthusiastically. I have good organizational skills and I am
computer literate. I have Basic Disclosure Scotland and PVG which was last
updated in May 2015. I have a great deal of experience of team work and
leadership from being house captain at school and a prefect. Furthermore, I
was a member of Glasgow University Cheerleading club which has been
invaluable in performing under pressure as a team. I was a member of
Glasgow Student Dance Company in my final year of university which involved
time management skills as I had a dancing show during the final stages of my
dissertation. I consider myself to be a punctual, reliable and responsible
person.

Employment
Alba Childcare Agency – I worked for Alba from May 2015 until present day
as a trainee nursery practitioner. I was mainly based in Mulberry Bush
Montessori where I covered different positions within the nursery. When I first
began at Alba I would move around different nurseries in Glasgow, however
Mulberry Bush Montessori recognised my hard work and dedication and
booked me every week during the summer. For this job, I had to be incredibly
flexible and learn to adapt to the routines of different departments.
St Swithin Pre School and Infant Nursery – September 2014 – February 2015 –
role as a trainee nursery practitioner. In this role, I worked in two preschool
departments in different St Swithin branches. This job involved flexibility and
the need to adapt to different working surroundings. Furthermore, as I was
temporary staff I often covered other staff in other departments and therefore
worked with many different staff and children including a wide range of age
groups. My job also included working different shift patterns and therefore
communication with staff including the management team and the nursery
nurses was essential. I was the only member of staff with this responsibility.
As Preschool staff, it was my duty to help the children prepare for school and
encourage their growth. I would also prepare food for the children and
supervise excursions.
Palm Court Hotel – Summer 2013 – worked as temporary waiting staff. Worked
in both the restaurant and various function rooms.
H.Samuels – December 2011 - worked as Christmas temporary staff. Dealt
with deliveries which involved unpacking jewellery deliveries and putting them
out on display. I also was responsible for preparing for the January Sale. For
this job, I had to learn about the company and also was trained in how to deal
with events such as a robbery in the shop.
Woodgroup – August 2011 - Technical Assistant to the Mechanical Engineering
department. Ran errands for the staff and helped with projects. Helped to
locate files and analyse technical drawings of offshore equipment. Had to
hand in timesheets to another member of staff and redistribute them to the
individuals and make copies each week this required good organisational skills.
Had to learn about the company and the oil and gas sector in a limited time.
Local MPs office (Anne Begg – work experience) October 2009 - attended
meetings with researchers and prepared circulars for distribution. Handled
incoming phone calls.
Oxfam (voluntary) 2009-2010 - worked with the public including difficult
customers. Operated the till and communicated with customers.
Press and Journal (work experience) June 2009 - wrote articles under deadline
pressures and shadowed reporters.

Kildrummy House Captain at St Margaret’s School for Girls – in this role I had

I also had to organise our house march at sports day which meant
communicating and cooperating with a third of my school.
Highland Dancing Assistant at St Margaret’s School for Girls – I was chosen by
the PE staff in my school due to my highland dancing background (I have
participated in shows, undertaken lessons and exams since the age of 8 to the
