Martin McCauley Project Architect 5 years Post Part 3 Experience I am a fully qualified UK/ Irish Architect and I am seeking an exciting and progressive workplace to continue my career. I have over 5 years post part 3 experience and in the last few years I have had the fortune to have worked on one of largest capital program of new schools in Western Europe. These jobs have given me invalua-ble experience in terms of handling multiple planning applications at one time and managing and coordinating key inputs from the design team and liaising with key stakeholders. The experience I have gained within these projects has been supplemented with site experience gained from working on several Church Conservation pro-jects. - Proven track record in projects, self motivated and know what is required and when. - People person and will deal with issues with a proactive approach. Design and Statutory Consents for 13 primary and post primary schools. Challenging delivery of multi-ple school buildings under limited time consents. De-veloped several schemes from inception stage, per-formed compliance and technical checks of layouts provided by department and amended accordingly. Some of the major schemes within the bundle includ-ed a multi school comprising of 3 different school types in Ashbourne. Fintona Church £0.6m March 2012-Dec 2012

Renovation of listed building and complete overall of stone elevations including initial survey and identifica-tion of damaged and weathered stonework. We also renovated the existing bell tower, providing new ser-vice access and removal and restoration of the bell. We also carried out general internal decoration and renovations throughout.

Gobbins visitors centre £1m Sept 2012-Dec 2012

Worked on tender submission for a new £2 million visitor centre. I was part of a team that completed a Tender submission including report, technical draw-ings supporting the contractor design elements and visualisations showing the contractors intent for the project.

Prepared initial de-sign and worked with client to develop an optimal proposal based on expected building occupancy and requirements. Liaised with statutory authorities on de-sign proposal and attended multiple design review meetings with client and key stakeholders. Prepared planning documents in liaison with statutory authori-ties.

I worked with the contractor on site during works. I was responsible for communication with Building Control during works and checking sub contractors drawings and liaising with them during works to en-sure coordination of works with design drawings. Carried out multiple design reviews during works to improved landscaping, external elevation and internal environment. Snagged building with Main contractor. Assisted with general administration of building con-tract.

Muckamore Abbey Hospital £3.2m Sept 2007-August 2008

This was a psychiatric hospital for adults with learning difficulties. I worked with the senior project Architect on site and was responsible for liasing with the con-tractor on site during works. I was responsible for li-aising with Building Control during works and check-ing sub contractors drawings and liaising with them during works to ensure coordination of works with design drawings. Assisted with general administration of building contract.
