Assignment: Project Manager of developing a Master of Public Management Programme tailored to the Gulf region in general and Bahrain in particular (BIPA in collaboration with Ecole Nationale d’Administration (ENA) and Université Aix-Marseille (AMU) both of France) Work description:

- Coordinate the MPM project by serving as a liaison with the French consultants. - Schedule project activities and coordination of multiple parties. - Coordinate the development of IT systems needed to manage the program. - Coordinate the development of material for the 16 graduate modules that will be offered as part

of the MPM starting in 2015. - Develop the policy and procedures for Board and the Program administration. - Coordinate with BIPA PR, the international partners, as well as the local academic partner, the

development of a communication strategy for the program which should be ready for February 2015.

- Coordinate with the local academic partner a detailed logistical and management plan for program administration (to be ready by summer 2015).

- Coordinate all the administrative steps necessary to set the framework for licensing the program by the HEC, NAAAC (Saudi) and other Gulf countries prior to the program start-up.

Result:- 5 modules of the ERP have been implemented: Currently these modules are used by all BIPA

employees and the portal is used by all the HR departments in Bahrain ministries.- Maintenance process and adequate resource assignment are well established:

o Project was properly closed: all deliverables were received and validated. Documents were clearly archived. Project Closure document signed-off. Lessons learnt are documented.

o Internal maintenance of ERP is in place: a developer was recruited and assigned. Knowledge transfer from D&B (software provider) to the developer has been planned, executed and monitored closely making the maintenance effective and on-going.

o Capacity building within BIPA: an existent BIPA employee from ICT department has been continually trained and coached to the project management process. The employee has taken now the responsibility of BIPA ERP maintenance.

- Change has been undertaken and driven: after the first implementation any system should be followed-up based on users’ feedback and responsiveness: users have been continually supported and trained and systems were readapted and tuned.

Parallel assignment 1:- Member of BIPA consultancy team.- Participated to establish a strategic and operational plan of Applied Sciences University with

Result:Management tools necessary to the project manager have been documented and delivered.

Work description:Coordinated the project « Distribution of fuel to TOTAL Clients » Facilitated workshops – Followed up project team activity – Reporting to top management of TOTAL.

Result:The application was implemented as a pilot in a specific region in France. A report was prepared for the next phases of the project.

Assignment: Consultant - CAP GEMINI (Employer) - CEGETEL (Customer) Subscriber Identity Module Centre. A production center for the data registered in cellular phone chip cards. Process used for French cellular phone operators: « Société Française du Radiotéléphone » (SFR) and « Société Réunionnaise du Radiotéléphone » (SRR).

Work description :Co-ordinated between the users and the development team. Translated users’ needs into system requirements.Tested technical and functional adaptation of the system.Designed the training module for users.

Result :The objective was to market a version of SFR phone subscription with the chip card. Objective met according to the initial established schedule.

Assignment: Project manager - CAP GEMINI (Employer) - EDF (Customer)Electricity high voltage transport network management.

Work description:Managed a 6 engineers team developing a graphical design software dedicated to electrical network configuration.Managed contractual and technical EDF liaison.Environment : HP-UX, ORACLE, PRO*C, C, C++, X-Window/Motif, LELISP, AIDA/MASAI, ASN1.

Result:The application is used to monitor and control the electrical network with a maximum of efficiency in all the regions in France: incidents were reported on the dashboard and the officers could intervene quickly. My participation to this result was to have minimized system’s anomalies and to have implemented changes providing greater control for the officers.
