Report to Managing Director and the Board of Directors and provide financial analysis, assist in the development of investment plans, capital budgeting and in finalizing venture capital financing decisions.

Design and administer the financial management policy of the company, ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), define short-term and long-term measureable objectives and monitor completion of tasks.

Evaluate opportunity costs of each project, conduct cost-benefit analysis and ensure selection of profitable projects with higher returns on investment.

Study balance sheets of corporate enterprises to arrive at investment decisions, suggest reliable investment avenues to the management to facilitate business growth and market expansion.

Present precise financial position of the company to the Board during business performance reviews, highlight funding requirements (immediate and long-term), outline the statutory compliance levels and discuss modifications required to internal processes and systems.

Treasury Management: Regulate the company’s existing assets, oversee acquisition of new assets, evaluate liabilities, availability of contingency

reserves and surpluses and monitor liquidity on a continuing basis; approve disbursement of funds for business purposes. Plan investments in different types of assets, projects and ventures to maximize returns, dividends and interest earnings. Exercise control and apply prudence in fund sourcing, allocations and financial management to regulate operations risk,

reduce financial losses and prevent damage to company’s goodwill and brand name. Grants Management: In-charge of benefits and grants administration, develop the grants policy and program rules in line with the core business

purpose and define eligibility norms. Explain the performance requirements, establish modules for risk assessment of projects, computation of costs and

highlight procedural requirements. Receive and screen incoming applications and release grants / funds for promising projects / ventures. Project Planning & Accounting: Assign required financial resources and manpower to ongoing company projects, oversee project accounting tasks, transfer

excess resources from one project to the other as required and ensure optimum utilization of available resources. Oversee execution of diverse projects of the company and coordinate activities for successful completion of projects as per

deadlines and within budgets. Payroll: Work with the HR department to manage the payroll function, verify accuracy of payroll accounting tasks and implement

revised processes to eliminate redundancies / shortfalls. Guide the payroll team in maintaining proper records of payments to employees (monthly deductions, allowances,

Key Responsibilities as Chief Accountant / Senior Accountant:Accounting and Financial Management: Maintained books of accounts, verified journal entries, ledger postings, ensured timely rectification, adjustment and

reconciliation of accounting records and oversaw preparation of the trail balance. Supervised the closing of books of accounts (monthly, quarterly, yearly), presented reports compliant with IAS and IFRS and

made required accounting and financial information available for publication of annual reports. Set-up proper internal controls to prevent deviations (if any) from standard accounting practices, ensured complete

transparency in departmental functioning to provide accurate accounting and financial information to the management. Monitored cash inflows and outflows for given accounting periods, prepared cash flow statements and raised requisition

with the treasury to obtain additional funds. Assessed requirements of short-term and long-term funds based on company’s strategic plans, sourced finance from

Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) Management: Received and verified invoices forwarded by suppliers against corresponding purchase orders, communicated with vendors /

3rd party service providers to resolve invoice discrepancies (if any) and released payments as per credit policy. Liaised with debtors / customers to expedite receivables as per the collections schedule and in line with the credit policy of

the company; offered settlement options to debtors to clear long-standing dues.Audit Planning & Implementation: Supported auditors during internal and external audits, responded to audit queries, provided relevant documents, purchase
