Job Description : General Duty and Responsibility

To assist HSE management in maintaining the maximum degree of control of health and safety

hazards at the workplace

Coordinate all inter-related matter between the HSE Committee and vessel safety coordination

committee meeting ( VSCC ) for project with contractor , Management Committee and line

management

To advise and assist in the planning and promotion of health and safety programmers to rise safe

work awareness

Awareness and understanding of all safety rules and regulations in the company.

To interpret and advise on the implementation of health & safety legislation, and Safe Work

Procedure.

To advise on the implementation of codes of practice and Safe Work Procedure.

Take advice and instruction from the HSE manager.

Ensure risk assessment have been carried out for work activities

To carry out inspections in workplaces to identify unsafe plant, unsafe working conditions and

practices and fire hazards. Reporting to appropriate manager or supervisor on the results of such

inspections and making recommendations for remedial action and any hazards identified.

Periodically inspection of tools and other Safety related equipment and recommendation

To advise on safety aspects in the design and use of plant, equipment and systems of work.

Investigating the causes of accidents, the circumstances leading to them and compiling the necessary

reports and giving advice to prevent recurrence.

Liaise with the training officer to advice on health and safety training matters, and where necessary,

assist in the implementation of training programmers.

To undertake the delivery of health and safety training as required by manager or coordinator.

Monitor the effectiveness of health & safety training activities provided for employees and making

recommendations to the appropriate manager or coordinator on identified risk and hazard.

To assess contractors' health and safety policies prior to approval and monitor compliance to the

Standards and the requirements of health and safety legislation.

Control and monitor firefighting equipment for maintenance and new purchases.

Ensure the use and wearing of protective clothing and safety equipment provided

Make employees able to understand the Safety signs and color code to eliminate the hazard

Monitor effectiveness of the health and safety activities at work place and make recommendations to

manager.

Maintain regular reporting to management related to the health and safety statistic

To update all relevant information and health and safety matters (notice boards and database)

Set a personal example.

Do and Control of quarantine system for Australian project
