Major Projects Accomplished:

1. 3G MW Network Implementation for three cities in North (2014~To date);

3G MW network deployment is in progress for Rawalpindi, Islamabad and Peshawar cities and is being carried out following below steps,

Conduction of pre installation surveys to check indoor and outdoor space. Existing MW links software/hardware up gradation along with deployment of new MW links as

per RAN input. Implementing QOS and V-LAN design for Microwave Transport Network end to end

connectivity. Setting over booking criteria on aggregation nodes as per set standards. Verifying end to end media from Node B till RNC before final cutover and generating work

orders accordingly.

2. Huawei Mega 2G swap Implementation for R1(2012~2014);

Huawei mega swap implementation for R1 (C1+North) has been completed and our role involved below tasks regarding MW part which led to this project smoothly completion.

Collecting HLD (high level design) and LLD (low level design) from vendor for validation. Ensuring MW KPIs, fade margin and availability, are as per agreed standards. Analyzing interference reports submitted by vendor. Ensuring no problematic site is being made a hub site. Ensuring no sharing site, where Mobilink is guest, is being made a hub site. Ensuring protection scheme is dully applied as per agreed standards. PAC issuance to vendor after complete assessment of a subject cluster.

3. Huawei BSS swap project.

I was assigned to fulfill media requirements for carrying out Huawei BSS swap of about 406 sites in North which I carried out following below steps;

Conduction of sites audit in order to have exact detail of equipment installed at sites. U space calculation for all sites keeping in view present as well as future MW links installation at these

sites. Conduction of LOS surveys for new links installation. Provisioning of integration plans for terminating sites to new BSCs. Providing sites dependency data on hub sites to execution teams to avoid unforeseen outages during

cutover.

4. Wimax Backhaul Network Establishment;

I established Wimax backhaul network for Rawalpindi and Islamabad cities as per RF requirements. Following points were focused during this project;

Bandwidth requirement for each site was kept about 30Mbps per site. Dragon wave IP radio “Air Pair” was used for this network establishment. As Mobilink existing network was badly congested in terms of tower loading and frequency congestion

so I preferred to make new hub sites instead of using existing one.

Apart from above specific projects my routine activities include,

Conduction of LOS surveys and media provisioning to BSD (Business Services Division) customers. Submitting P&S and LL (power and space and lease lines) requests to LLM (leased lines management)

and GR departments for leasing space and media at PTCL and SCO locations. Planning TXN Repeaters for rollout sites where direct LOS and lease media are not available. Attending periodic meetings with Project Management to discuss rollout status and issues/blocking points. Handling offloading of problematic sites and LOS blockage issues.

One day training work shop by Mobilink HR titled “Culture of Excellence….Operationalizing Mobilink

Corporate values”. Two days training workshop organized by Mobilink and Navitus on “Conflict Management”.

DISTINCTIONS:

Established MW back bones for international traffic with operators like Roshan and MTN. Carried out large amount (about 3000) of MW links installation in my team lead tenure. Experience of doing LOS surveys in hard and tough areas of Pakistan including Fata and Fana. A good understanding of the vendor equipment including NEC (Pasolink V4, Paso+, Pasolink NEO and

i paso), Alcatel (AWY 9400 series) ,Huawei RTN,905,950&980 and Dragonwave Horizon Compact. Good Communication and Interpersonal skills (both verbal and written). As Team lead I always demonstrated personal initiative in every task in order to build trust and integrity
