ProfileHaving worked at sea all my life including eight years in the yachting industry, I have gained a great deal of experience. I have continuously striven to achieve the exacting standards required within the super yacht industry. This has greatly benefited my career and consequently led me to achieve my first appointment as Captain on board motor yacht Elena. It is my intention to pursue another role as Captain on board a motor yacht. I am also very interested in new build project as I have spent valuable time with various shipyards during my career with refits and a new build.Profile
Qualifications
M/Y RL Noor – 37 Meter Bilgin – Commercial/Charter vessel, 6 crew.April 2015 – June 2015 – Captain temp/Relief position.I joined RL Noor in shipyard in Croatia where I prepared the yacht for the season ahead. I was involved in all aspect of new crew preparation, maintenance, accounts and the general running of the vessel as well as being heavily involved in all the engineering aspects, including helped to get the new engineer up to speed with systems and procedures. The vessel ran with MLC SMS.(Mini ISM). We left the shipyard and started the charter season in Corfu Greece. We continued through the Corinth and cruised the Greek Islands. I then handed over to a new captain as I had commitments ashore. (8 weeks temp position)
M/Y Elena – 47 Metre Heesen – Privately registered vessel. 9 crew.June 2014 – Sept 2014 – Chief Officer. Sept 2014 – Feb 2015 – Captain. I joined the motor yacht Elena as Chief officer on the 1st of June 2014 in Hellevoetsluis/Holland where she was completing the final stage of build in preparation for hand over to the new owner. We had limited time to get the yacht fully set up and were able to achieve this in six weeks. I was involved in the recruitment and the training up of the new crew. We ran a mini ISM system and subsequently produced all Standard Operation Procedures specific to the yacht. We then embarked on an extensive cruising summer season including Norway, Gibraltar, Spain & the Balearics, France, Italy, Montenegro, Croatia, Sardinia and Corsica. We also represented Heesen at the Monaco yacht show.I took over full command of Elena in early September and gained in excess of 3250 cruising miles as master. We were a self managed vessel working directly with the owner, Classification society (Lloyds) and the Flag state (Cayman Islands). The owner and his family and friends used the yacht extensively during my time on board. We were constantly moving and involved in a lot of water sport activities and ran the yacht to a high standard to which I have become accustomed.(8 Months employment - due to economic crisis in Russia & optimization of payroll – entire crew change)
