Terms & ConditionsAll cattle sold through the Cutting Edge Genetics Bull Sale sell under the Suggested Terms & Conditions of the American Simmental Association. The Cutting Edge Genetics group will house and feed all bulls free of charge until May 1, 2016. After that, a $4 per head per day fee will be applied to any and all remaining bulls. Applies to bulls only. The sale group will make every effort to assist buyers in arranging transportation of purchased cattle.

Retained Semen InterestThe consignors of the Cutting Edge sale will retain 1/3 semen interest in all bulls sold, unless otherwise noted. Winning bidders will receive 100% possession of and 2/3 semen interest in their purchases.

HealthAll bulls will be evaluated for breeding soundness by AA Breeders, Jan van Tonder. All two-year-old bulls will be tested free of trichomoniasis.

Valentino is the first calf ever offered out of BRANT/EKRD Sweet Clover, who has had a very successful show career – first as a bred heifer then as a cow/calf pair. A daughter of the legendary Dream On and KLER Sweetness, Clover is quickly moving her way to the front of our donor lineup. Her embryos have been in high demand, selling among the highest lots at both World Beef Expo’s Showcase Sale and the SimMagic On Ice at National Western. Valentino, her first son, was at Clover’s side while being named Champion Cow/Calf Pair at the 2015 AJSA North Central Regional Classic in Minnesota. The lone fall-born bull in our sale, this guy will stand out for far more reasons than his age. His dam, RP MP Loving Fool 045Y, was our selection out of the 2014 Foundation Female Sale. She’s a direct daughter of Rocking P Livestock’s outstanding Queens Valentine donor, by WLE Quota. Study her picture here, and you’ll see why we chose her. B468 is sired by HTP SVF Duracell, the stouter full brother to In Dew Time. And if any of that pedigree sounds familiar, here’s why: EKRD/GUNN Adonis is a 7/8 brother in blood to HPF Quantum Leap, who took home banners for Circle M and Rocking P at every major show – and then some. There’s something to be said for proven genetics. With Hooks Shear Force on one side of his pedigree and Lazy H Burn Baby Burn on the other, Irish Acres Burn Em Up is a prime example of exactly that. Shear Force, whose calving ease prowess and first-rate carcass merit are unmatched within the breed, has been one of the most widely used Simmental sires for the past decade. Burn Baby Burn is famous for creating offspring with undeniable eye appeal and volume, and her legend as a producer of show champions and breed changers is still being built upon today. Burn Em Up’s dam is a Burn Baby Burn daughter – and a full sister to FBF1 Combustible, Griswold’s 2013 NWSS Reserve Champion Bull. Here are three SimAngus sons of our lead mature cow herd sire, PHR Dirt Road. An easy-keeping black baldy, Dirt Road always seems to look the part, even in his working clothes. He’s big ribbed and smooth shouldered, has great top width and travels in a smooth and fluid track. Better yet, he’s transmitted these traits into his offspring – including the white face.

C522 is a ¾ blood out of HL Ms Kara, who we purchased at National Western’s The One sale. C523 is a double-bred Make It Rain who is built the most like his daddy of the group.
