o Aircel segregates each subscriber’s traffic by applying VLAN tags.

L2 Service – Ethernet Relay Service

o Offers point-to-point connectivity

o ERS uses a VLAN tag to multiplex several, non-same-destination

pseudo wires to one port

o Supports point-to-multipoint connections between two or more

customer-specified sites on single Ethernet Port

o An Ethernet Multipoint Service (EMS) provides a multipoint

connectivity model.

o The network looks like a giant Ethernet switch where each customer

has their own VLAN or broadcast domain, rather than end-to-end

pseudo wire link.
