Custom App Onboarding

Welcome to the Go Church App platform. We are glad you chose us for your custom church/ministry app platform. Below you’ll find the information and credentials to start utilizing all the features of your Go Church App custom app.

Admin Panel/Content Management System Your admin panel or CMS (content management system) allows you to make any design and feature changes, send and schedule push notifications, create events, and much more. For now, we’ll just show you how to send/schedule push notifications.

Send/Schedule Push Notifications: 1. Navigate to the “Manage ” tab on the left sidebar and select “Push Notifications ”

2. Enter your notification message (128 character limit).

3. Scroll down to the “Targeted Audience ” section and select where your push notification message will go. We recommend always selecting iOS and Android devices. Optionally you can connect to a Facebook Page and Twitter Account. Under “Subscriptions ” choose the groups/categories the message is for (subscriptions can be managed under Edit > Build > Messages ).

4. Next you’ll scroll down to the “Content ” section. This is where the notification will take your user. You can choose 4 different options. “None” will just be sent as a standalone message that won’t bring the user somewhere.

5. In the last section, you will be able to select whether to send the push notification now or schedule for a later time (make sure your time zone is correctly set).

6. Lastly, whether you are scheduling or sending right away, select “Send Message ” at the top right.

Edit, Design & Build: 1. Navigate to the “Edit ” tab on the left sidebar and select “Design ”. Here you will be able to edit colors, fonts, scrolling images, backgrounds, headers, and more. Please note: changes made in the “Edit ” section are live within the app once you click “Save ” on the top right. If you have the app open in your device you won’t see the changes until you reload the app.

2. Preview any changes right in the builder on multiple devices.

3. To edit and add features (tabs) to your app navigate to Edit > Build . Using the arrow indicated below you can reorganize the order of your features.

4. To deactivate a feature, select the toggle button next to the feature you would like to remove from the app. The feature can be reactivated by navigating to “Inactive Features .”

5. To add (or reactive) a feature, navigate to “Inactive Features ” and select the toggle button. Add/change the feature icon by selecting the image to the left of the feature name.

6. To edit the contents of a feature/tab, make changes in the area shown within the red below and click save to have your changes go live within the app.

Skipper App - Control Your App With An App The Skipper App allows you to send and schedule push notifications on the go, from your device. You can download the app from the iOS App Store or Google Play Store.

1. After logging in (you can skip the social login by touching anywhere on your screen) you will see the screen on the left. There you can view recent activity, view analytics like downloads, time in app, etc. and send push notifications. 2. On the Push Notifications tab, you can view sent and scheduled push notifications (which sync with the admin panel/CMS) and create new notifications by selecting the + icon in the top right.

3. Compose a new push notification/message to send now or later. 4. Select the subscriptions you want your message to go to. Select “Both ” for “Target Device .” Choose whether or not to send this message to Facebook, Twitter, Both or None. Optionally send the notifications to users are within a geographical area you define. Optionally attach content to the message (where the notification will take the user). Finally, make the notification deactivate after a certain period of time (not recommended but some circumstances may call for this feature).
