The attack came a day after a local Lashkae-e-Toiba (LeT) terrorist was killed in a gunfight with stateforces inNowgamarea of Srinagar outskirts.

Mainstream political parties in Jammu andKashmir condemned the killing of a policeman, whowas shot dead by terrorists while he was off duty hereon Thursday. National Conference (NC) Vice-President Omar Abdullah wrote on Twitter Anotherterrorist attack & another family is mourning. MayJaveed Ahmedmore family destroyed. Peoples Conference chairmanSajad Lone wrote in his tweetEvery killing in the valley leavesmore widows and orphans andgrieving parents. RIP Javed.

Javed Ahmad Kambay wasposted with a retired judge asPSO and had returned home

some time ago. He wasnot on duty neithercarrying any weapon andwas no threat to anyone, when he was shot deadat point blank range,

which shows the cowardice of the terrorists. Thetargeting of unarmed security personnel and civiliansshows the desperation amongst the terrorist groupsand their bosses sitting across the borders to portraythe situation in J&K in bad light in front ofInternational forums. If the attack is for the freedomof Kashmir or save Kashmiris, how does killing of anunarmed police personnel going to help theperpetrators in achieving the ultimate agenda. According to reports, the CID Inspector hasbeen identified as Pervaiz AhmadDar and was postedat Parimpora police station.

Dar was returning home after performing theevening prayers at amosque, he was not carrying anyweapon and was no threat to anyone, when he wasshot in the back, which shows the cowardice of theterrorists. The police spokesperson in a statementissued here on Tuesday night said that around 8:00pm, two unidentified pistol borne terrorists firedindiscriminately upon the police officer injuring himcritically. The officer, he said, was on his way to a localmosque to offer prayers when the terrorists attackedhim. CCTV footage shows firing by two terroristswith pistols. Identification is being done. Hissupreme sacrifice won't go in vain, terrorists will bepunished for the act. My heartfelt condolences to thefamily ofmartyr.

The desperation of the terrorists from Paksupported Shaheed Anas Squad of the TRF isvisible from the fact that, now they are targetingunarmed security personnels and civilians. What isthe end their actions are going to lead to is somethingwe need to delve upon. If the attack is for the freedomof Kashmir, or save Kashmiris, how does killing of anunarmed police personnel going to help theperpetrators in achieving the ultimate agenda. Itshigh time we should realise that these kind of attacksare only an act of desperation and we should stopplaying at the hands of the propagandamachinery ofPakistan that is working 24/7 to portray that poor

Kashmiris are in needof salvation.Dars killing comes five days

after terrorists shot dead apoliceman Javaid Ahmad Tambioutside his house in Saidporalocality of Eidgah on Thursdayevening.

This attack on a honest policeofficer brings to fore the

nefarious designs of Pak backedmilitants to cause disturbance inthe beautiful Kashmir Valleyand deny honest means oflivelihood to the citizens.
