FD Tour: Sacred Valley of Urubamba Full day excursion visiting the beautiful Sacred Valley of Urubamba, situated 31 km from Cusco.Its main attractions are its picturesque villages with splendid colonial churches ,important archaeological sites, terraces of the Inca Era and spectacular scenery You will have the opportunity to visit: The Archaeological Complex of PISAC the best preserved and composed of terraces separated by groups of buildings (fortresses,housing areas, esplanades, food storehouses, temples, etc.). The most important temple was built around the Intihuatana, a rock that acts as a sundial. The temple construction is of extraordinarily well- crafted stone. Nearby is the town of Pisac, famous for its Indian market where you can acquire the best artisan goods in the area. In the afternoon, will visit the ruins of OLLANTAYTAMBO, which in the time of Tawantinsuyo was a gigantic agricultural, administrative, social, religious and military complex.”

We arrive at the city of Aguas Calientes, then, we will board the minibuses that drive the ascent to the lost citadel of the Incas, surrounded by imposing mountains. DAY 04: WEDNESDAY, JULY 5TH – MACHU PICCHU /HUAYNA PICCHU/CUSCO * Breakfast at the hotel. Tour: Huayna Picchu (3hrs) The imposing beauty of this natural attraction makes it an obligatory visit for those who want an unforgettable memory of the citadel. Although the access is a bit difficult, the view is impressive and it well worth the effort. At its top there is a group of platforms that would have served for aesthetic-religious purposes and a temple in process of being built or partially destroyed (the archaeologists doesn’t defined yet). On the north flank is the set called Temple of the Moon, where you could see stairways, grottos, benches and niches. Then, free time to enter and visit Sun Gate and Machu Picchu citadel (without tour guide) In the afternoon, return to Cusco by Expedition train. * Accommodation in Cusco.
