    As student, I was invited to participate in the brand redesign ofUniversity of Algarve as a research fellow. This project consistedin redefining the institutions main graphic brand as well restruc-

    turing the entire brand architecture, redesigning the logos ofeach organizational unit (schools and departments) enrolled inthe institution. Were also developed the whole online communi-

    cation products (websites and media) and printed products asstationery, University promotional materials and outsidecommunication products (outdoors and others).

    I performed my internship at Studio Andrew Howard with an eval-uation of 19 (0 to 20) where I collaborated on projects such as

    Nuno Portas exhibition entitled Nos Caminhos de NunoPortas and its printed publication. Worked on some proposalsabout illustration for book covers, as A Ilha de Caribou from

    AHAB Publisher. There, I also began a typeface design called BIG,that is based on a series of hand-printed specimens taken fromwood type that were printed by the studio. The main aim was toturn it digital, drawing and completing all the character set of

    this font. This typeface is already finished and available.

    After completing my degree I joined a teacher to create a designstudio based on methodology workflow called Design Think-

    ing, having been the name adopted for the project. In the studioI develope graphic design work, organization and managementof work, responsability for interns, also deal with print produc-

    with Studio Design Thinking idea. On this contest was presentedthe studio methodology (Design Thinking) as an innovative wayof working, proving that communication design research is anessential tool for the increase of economics and regional deve-lopment. Today this idea/studio is working on it, improving the

    design relevance and function, proving its importance.
