During April - May 1975, petrographic studies of granite samples from different parts of Kenya, on behalf of H.Z. Co. Ltd. The studies were intended to determine the petrographical peculiarities which influence toughness/hardness and strength of various granites.

During July - August, 1975, petrographic studies of drill cores of samples from Olkaria geothermal field on behalf of East African Power & Lighting Co. Ltd.

During September - October, 1980, commissioned by UN Economic Commission for Africa to write a background paper on Geothermal Energy Resources for UN Conference on New and Renewable Sources of Energy.

During October 1983 - January, 1984, commissioned by Magadi Soda Company PLC to investigate the source and lithological characters of rock fragments found in exported

soda ash.

Consultant for Kenya Power Company Ltd. at the Geothermal Scientific and Technical Review Meeting held in Nairobi, 19th to 24th November, 1984.

In June, 1985 commissioned by Commonwealth Secretariat as a resource person to give lectures on Marine Mineral Resources: Their Exploitation and Management at its Training Course on Exclusive Economic Zone Management for countries of Africa and the Indian Ocean held in Mombasa.

Commissioned in 1985 by National Cereals and Produce Board to carry geotechnical investigations of the Nakuru site for the grain silos.
